He joined Telenor in 1989 and has held a number of positions, including President and Chief Executive Officer of Telenor International AS. Prior to this, he was Executive Vice President of Elektrisk Bureau Telecom (Ericsson of Norway), and a Research Engineer at the Norwegian Institute of Technology (ELAB).
