Ms Lai has over 20 years of banking regulatory experience with BNM, including in bank regulation, corporate communications, international negotiations and relations, deposit insurance systems and protection scheme for insurance policy holder. She was seconded to PIDM as General Manager, Policy and International in 2005 until her retirement in January 2011.
