Calvin can give 5 stock tips daily for all I care because in the end I make my own judgement. Maybe is just the way Calvin writes that causes some people to go against him which I feel is not too fair. Yet it is freedom of speech (write) and expression.
For all that Calvin, Uncle Koon, OTB, Icon and many others have written, there is one thing in addition that also counts which is GUT feel. All the FA, TA and business sense is relevant and useful where maybe there is also one matter needed to pick correct stocks which is GUT FEEL.

You left out Magnum, Berjaya Toto, KLCC, MSM and Malakoff. In fact, I got small positions in JCY and BJ Corp but I can say that the share price goes down after the ex date of dividend.

I sleep well at night because I only got 1% of my wealth in the share market and so the many surprises that happen in the share market do not rattle me at all. Yet, I am puzzled that my earnings are never that spectacular.

Maybe you can help me understand why I still have unrealised losses when investing or playing the defensive counters like magnum, toto, JCY, BCorp, Malakoff, Puncak, KLCC, MSM and FGV. At least I get yearly dividend and that is all I can say about some of these counters.

Elwyn chia: Bad dog

Just bought 10,000 shares at 1sen = Rm100 for luck. As an accountant myself, I am wishing for a miracle.

In view of everyone hitting Mr Calvin Tan, maybe I should be the one to thank him since based on Calvin Tan's advise, I bought at 47 sen and sold at 52.5 sen. Made pocket change. Even if I incurred losses, it is my decision in the end. Not right to just hantam Calvin over this.

Good afternoon. I personally feel that the target price of RM1.50 is a little bit far fetched. I am still sticking to my target price of 10sen in the short term and maybe 20sen by year end if all goes well and assuming Huaan really recover substantially the losses. So only trading buy.

The high coke price may just be temporary.

I was at the AGM today where the Directors stated that operations have started. However, in my opinion, starting operations is one thing. Making money is another as evident by the first quarter results. The only good news will be the potential lifting of Para 8.03 listing requirement.

Still long way to go. It has to make profits to wipe out the accumulated losses before any hope of dividend.

The share price will rise but will not be spectacular. Maybe up to 10 sen at best. Will not go higher than 10 sen since it is a red chip share and it has a very long road ahead.

Good morning Calvin Tan. To note that I bought Dutaland two months ago at 48sen after reading your write up. Still waiting. While your recommendation is sound at times yet sometimes a counter can be stuck at depressed levels for a long time. That is why other people bash you. However, if Dutaland goes down, I only have myself to blame since you did not put a gun to my head to buy and also I only bought 2200 shares.

You have a good eye for identifying undervalued companies but sometimes your recommendation need a lot of patience. You are called Mr 226 but the contest is for one year. I feel that if the contest is for lets say 3 years, you may be a lot higher than 226 since some of your counters really have to wait.

Again if you are Mr 226 at the end of the year, I will still not judge you badly due to the fact that share investments is sometimes medium to long term of 3 years or more.

Well said Mr Calvin Tan. MUI is for long term and not for the faint heart. At one of your PM Corp AGMs, you even brought some chocolates to present to the Board of Directors on what PM Corp should be doing. Although NTA should not be the sole contributing factor to buy a share, it is worth while to note your explanations on intrinsic value.

Maybe one more thing for me to add is that some counters with very high NTA can get wiped out fast with impairment. Key is to look for those solidly backed NTA.

We have met a few times during PM Corp AGM many years ago. MUI has many valuable assets but it is losing money year after year due to huge financial cost. Yes, it has a lot of valuable assets but these assets are big where it may be difficult to sell.
You see, selling a terrace house is easy but selling a resort is a herculean task. We could be stuck at 16 sen for a very long time. So is it still wise to buy MUI considering the holding cost? Is NTA that important when it is not making money and not declaring any dividend for decades? Some more, in the predictable future, it is expected to lose money for at least another three years. Just my opinion only as I know the MUI group pretty well as I had a few friend there once upon a time.

The factory has started operations which mean it will no longer face delisting. BUT it is a long way from making profits. So the price should go up to maybe 8sen or around there. However, it will not be spectacular. And those hoping to make quick profit will be disappointed. Some more coke prices have yet to stabilise. Again dont hope it will shot up sky high when it just started the factory.

AGM on 18th May 2016. Maybe shareholders need to attend to question Directors on the performance.
