4.84% of Focus Lumber crossed off-market

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 26): Focus Lumber Bhd ( Financial Dashboard) (fundamental:1.75; valuation: 3), which specialises in the manufacture and sale of plywood, saw 5 million of its shares or 4.84% of its shareholdings crossed off-market today.

According to Bloomberg, the shares were moved in four blocks — two blocks of 0.5 million shares, one block of 1.5 million shares and another block of 2.5 million shares — at RM1.06 apiece or a total of RM5.3 million. It is not immediately known however, who the parties in the transactions were.

Focus Lumber’s three largest shareholders are Taiwanese nationals Cheng Lu Kuan (8.92%), Chen Chun Hsiung (8.28%) and Lu Chin Ting (7.34%).

The company’s shares, which were trading at 93.9 sen a year ago, closed at RM1.16 today, with a market capitalisation of RM119.7million.

uncle koon, i used up a whole morning to update my research on timber related listed companies, as from my novice perspective.. please pardon me as i am going to be straight forward.. i think jtiasa is not as good as you said, actually it is quite a bad investment, it earning and revenue is so volatile , that's why the dividend yield also not much and not stable. Buiness-wise , im might not so good at it, but number-wise , i might have some of it, jtiasa numbers is not so good according to me, anyway 各花有各眼, i might be wrong too, but do you ever consider and think of the worst case scenario , that your jtiasa is going to holland/stagnant just like your investment in xinquan?

just think about it, that you actually realized you making a wrong decision, if so what you gonna do about it? did you ever making a wrong decision? if so how you, what you did about it? do you mind sharing your richly experience with all the members in this website?

it depend on your confidence of your method, i'am sure kcchong does not bet that kfima will having such a lousy quarter result, he probably bet on a steady good result, he done everything right according to his method ( low pe , high cash/nta , good ROE , low debt etc etc ) but as always 很多事都是事与愿违的.
