The Board of Directors of Sarawak Cable Berhad (“Sarawak Cable” or “the Company”) wishes to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Trenergy Infrastructure Sdn Bhd (“Trenergy”) had on 4 December 2014 received a Letter of Award from Pengerang Power Sdn Bhd (“PPSB”), a subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (“PETRONAS”) on its Tender for the Proposed Contract for Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (“EPCC”) for the Development of Pengerang 275kV Overhead Transmission Line from Pengerang Cogeneration Plant (“PCP”) to Peninsular Malaysia Grid and 275kV/132kV Pengerang Substation (“Contract” or “Project”) for a contract sum of RM257,018,731.59 (Ringgit Malaysia Two Hundred And Fifty Seven Million Eighteen Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty One and Sen Fifty Nine Only).

The Contract shall achieve the Guaranteed Completion Date on 21 July 2016.

The Project is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of Sarawak Cable Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2015 and 2016.

The Board is of the opinion that the award of the Project by PPSB is in the best interest of Sarawak Cable and its Group of Companies.

This announcement is dated 4 December 2014.

Interesting to note that only one project for housing in Malaysia. Even though the housing system which is pre fabricated can set up faster.

Read the edge markets. All tycoons had their holdings halved cos of oil and gas! Ananda, SK petrol, quek, etc.
actually, If any good stocks also hv profit no harm to per serve cash. Take profit and wait till next year. Rm dropped so much. Usd1 now is rm3.44! :(

Deal was sent to salamander in July. 4 months and still no news from SC!!!

Serious operational problem. A parcel sent to Singapore can take 2 weeks. Gdex takes less than a week. It's making loses .. Read the latest quarter report. Waiting for fuel sub but it didn't happen. Pos need major restructuring for turnaround.

N USA and NZ there is no fixed oil price like in Asia. It goes on daily rate. That would be the fairest ... But govt can project oil earnings! The golden goose that lays the eggs is not so fertile anymore
