Same as the year before, planning to go but still unsure since I will be backpacking to South Korea next month for a week with the departure date coincide with the AGM date, am/pm. Seems that as usual, the Kuan has always use the same kitchen sink approach on their quarterly/annual report and basically their mail in intergrated Annual Report covered everything on the progress of the Company. Nevertheless, hope to hear the view from the rest of the shareholders and question/answer session in the AGM. Already submitted the request for the printed copy of the Annual Report by mail just in case I cannot make it on the AGM day.

Harta just received an award for blood donation campaign, yayasan donated computers to school, invited to IJN foundation heart of appreciation hi tea for supporting the foundation...think the morale is still up on the top there...wonder when I can get my queue no getting some donation from the yayasan since this "marinated jar" in my tabung melabur tak ada dividend so far this yr, lol

Quirkyways, doubt there will be a virtual session in the future since we are all now in the endemic stage. Will just see how it goes with the no in months to come. I'm a diehard supporter of harta (hopefully not end up taking Yayasan Hartalega queue no, lol) and Natsuko is the total opposite of diehard naysayers of harta, gosh after long break still the same bash and squash. Frankly, still waiting if harta will indeed turn to penny stock...one man's loss is another man's gain as long as the company is kicking and alive, we just never know what lies ahead.

During economy downturn and climate change, wish should be replaced with pray...pray that the economy will not turn to worst this coming days and no more continuous wars and natural disasters ...harta may be continue goin down red but my gratitude is still with the management for the past profits during the perks as without their one off profits, extra fund in my tabung, I will not be able to still enjoy my ongoing backpacking trips till up to now. The supporters and naysayers are all making sensible comments (glad no more mocking others) on the status of the company as of today. In the end of the day, it is still up to all the intelligent investors on their holding of the shares. Quirkyways, would love to see you in the coming end year AGM if you are still holding on to harta shares....and provided there isn't a need for me to queue up at Yayasan Hartalega and harta is still kicking and alive, lol

Dnex down to 0.59 while harta climbing up, like a tortoise to 1.80....everyday harta get cursed down to penny stock while they just recently celebrated their annual dinner with glowing global neon theme, rewarding long serving employees plus still contributing to the communities ...well, will just wait and see if the stock is indeed turn to penny stock soon or slowly glowing like a Christmas tree in the coming days.

The price of gloves, you dump I dump...sampai bila boleh dump when the operating cost is getting higher and higher. Hike in cost is not just within the sector itself, it is naik and continue to naik for everything under the sun globally. Only our currency not naik but turun and continue turun...dont know if there is a marathon of siapa cepat turun, No: Gloves Price or No: MYR menang...lol. Interesting to know that Intco is not escaping from losses at this moment. So who is the survival of the fittest? Only time will tell

Points raised every now and then on competitors from China. First and foremost, please compared the incorporation dates of all these China competitors and secondly please give some credit to our local manufacturers. Harta incorporated in year 1988 and to my knowledge, senior Kuan is a hands on boss who even contributed ideas to the design of his own machineries of the factory and further built/added up till what the factories are today. Little birdies told me so, lol.
Secondly, during this period...we look at the supply and demand but aren't we supposed to look at the trade issues as well among these big power countries. We have the trade war between US and China, we have possible war between Taiwan and China. And we turn to the related tech semiconductors, China can produced millions and billions and even trying the soonest possible to conquer Taiwan...but look at the Chips Act, what is happening now? With the mighty China conquering everything under the sun, don't you think the other big powers especially US will retaliate.
It is definitely a period full of uncertainties.....US is one of the gloves biggest market, we have Supermax already on its way to establish the factory there. The point here are :
1) US gov do not provide subsidies to manufacturers
2) The mighty China gov provide much assistance and of course subsidies to its healthcare manufacturers. But still all these gloves manufacturers are considered new, compared to Malaysia, with production of other medical health products as well.
3) As for Malaysia, during this negative market condition, Companies who had donated millions gloves during the pandemic also contributed humangous windfall tax to the country, for the very first time Company made losses during the quarter and added salt to the wound, follow up by dumping of shares by EPF and of course by the intelligent investors out there. Ironic as it be, this is the sad situation of the sector that contributed much to the countries. Somemore karma to them during this downturn by some. Haiseh, sedih looking at the situation now....sigh.
That is why in the AGM, harta is hoping that the government can provide must assistance during this difficult period

Lastly, gloves ada expiry dates, just a matter of how much the supply out in the market and who is the survival of the fittest. But truly, at this moment, like everyone said fundamental is already out with all the FOMO, quick big bucks money makers, naysayers with doom and gloom opinion surrounding the sector now...it is a matter of reaction and actions of every shareholders on the market condition, beyond everyone control. Looking forward, it is up to all the intelligent investors out there whether to hold, sell and buy. At this moment, harta is still with its healthy balance sheet and as mentioned in the AGM, kicking out of the KLCI make not much difference to them. Is harta the survival fittest? Well, I am not Nujum Pak Belalang, just small potato looking at all the possibilities and with the good return in the past, just giving a chance to the Company to prove to us that their shares are worth the value for us to hold

Similar machines are generally used in all the gloves manufacturing company, just a matter of its innovative aspect that is able to enhance the production capacity which I believe some of these machines are even under the process of obtaining patent or already under patents in Malaysia. When Income Sir mentioned bout harta machinery imported from China, I am quite surprised.

All I know is harta machines from day one were not manufactured by harta but local company, some machines designed were ideas contributed by senior Kuans. As of today the latest machines I have no idea that all the latest machines were manufactured and sent over all the way from China.

I don't know that gloves machines of harta are made from China, I thought all are local made with even some ideas contributed by the senior Kuan.

Never put all the eggs in one basket....wait and see how high it will climb or probably the higher it goes the further down it will drop to another level, we just never know...looking forward to the next coming up quarterly report after my trip. Quirkyways...great quote, good deeds good karma in return...to me it is a win win for all Company. Good return to shareholders, contribution to the gov/country revenue plus charities to the communities. Too bad due to the situation now, the expansion in Kedah I assumed should be on hold, otherwise it will provide more job opportunities to the locals there with charities spread to the surrounding communities . My only hope is the Company will be able to overcome the obstacles ahead during this downturn period, survival of the fittest. Nevertheless, my trust is still on harta, just a matter of portfolio diversification along the way. Heard a to and fro flight ticket to Japan alone cost RM9k, crazy.....compared the ticket price before the pandemic, travel London/Europe, it is much more costly now.
