Management walk the talk from day one up to now, Touching Lives Grounded in Values and as of todate Future Focused. Now, global recession, hike in cost of everything under the sun everywhere across the world, fierce competition among the old and newbies of the industry....the Company still kicking and alive surviving with profits made, dividend distribution to shareholders and standing tall head on facing the difficult time ahead them. If you are looking at the numbers alone rolling down, well aint good sight at all ..only good for those number crunching short term big money makers. Every intelligent investors will have their much respected personal opinion on the shares. For me, same as the lady shareholder who praised the management during the AGM for the good returns to the shareholders, I myself is counting my blessing for the opportunity to be able to grab a big chunk of return during peak time for my retirement fund plus a couple of past considerable good high dividend in addition to the consistent normal dividend paid out quarterly. Small potato me just wish to earn a consistent return in the future for saving and yearly backpacking trip overseas, lol. Though at this moment, the company is facing head on downturn, my confident is still with the company, the much respected darling stock in my portfolio.

Look at it, I think glove business is a very tough business, it involves much work from the production down to end products, shipments and also meeting the stringent requirements for those who manufacture medical grade gloves. Those ahpig ahdog can definitely anytime start the business but how long they will be able to survive long term is questionable.

Quirkyways, as mentioned in the Edge..government assistance/policies refer to energy/wages. Though harta is moving towards automation, manpower is still very much required which I think on this aspect, the management is referring to the assistance on the whole process in the recruitment of foreign workers which all the sectors are facing much hurdles now with the whole procedures and rules/regulations. Quite an interesting point was raised up during the questions/answers session on competitors from China...Quirkyways, wish you were present in the meeting as you will be able to do your own evaluation on the market competition of the sector.

MrLurker, noted your points on the illustrated cost difference,  assumed based on your own logical overall calculation.  The fact is we just dont know the actual cost incurred vs quality of the product in the long run. With the balance sheet recession in China, 0 covid interruption on factory operation and assumed the hike in cost of everything including labour cost as well with current workforce of mostly the young now goin for lay flat working attitude, how low the ASP will the China manufacturers able to press down in the coming days.
Another point  here is China capable to KO all the other manufacturers in term of  conquering the overall share market in view of its unstable relation with the US, one of the biggest market for the gloves industry. Malaysia manufacturers with its top quality products already have their very own customer base in the US market since day one. And the US gov will definitely have their own set of rules on China products same as coming up with the Chips Act to protect their own market. Isnt there much to be seen in the future on the survival of the fittest instead of all Malaysia gloves manufacturer assumed to be goin down the bankruptcy list in year 2023?

China can produced millions and billions of gloves at lower cost, lower price gloves with humangous supply but are there goin to be humangous demand all over the globe when the issue of Taiwan reclamation come into force by military action, the worst case scenario.

MrNatsuko, your point of view aint wrong looking at the number continue goin down.  But the going down no may also be an attractive bargain price to grab for some. It is indeed a interesting scenario of the glove share market as of todate to follow up on its ongoing. Good companies still kicking and alive with profits and dividends for some yet no still continue rolling down.

The 180 degree  flip is on the overall market condition of the gloves industry, the change in the economy worldwide, the effect of  hike in cost of everything under the sun....the fundamental of the company itself is very much stays strong on its feet with healthy balance sheet and humangous cash in hand as of today. The future, well nobody can predict but one thing for sure that we need to raise up the big question marks here are

1) Is the supply superseded demand will remain in the long run?
2) Is the market itself will remain in such a competitive state with the newcomers, especially China, assumed to totally replace the rest of the glove suppliers in the coming days with the ongoing conflicts  trade war, tech war and now cold war between China and the US, our biggest market.  What is the effect on this aspect on the rest of the markets in the UK, Japan and Europe etc?
3) US itself with their very own gloves factory, how efficient will they be in comparison to the Malaysia gloves factories in view of the hike in cost and much talk bout recession.
4) All in all, the major big question here,  is glove a obsolete healthcare product?

Last but not least, the "pigleg/chuegeok= chuekok" please excuse my inappropriate words of the day, lol.....main lead actor here, Harta...as a reputable 30 over years old  industry player went through the ups and downs,  are they the fittest of the survival? Much is to be seen in the coming days. We are all mature investors, not participants of mockery contest. Like you said constructive discussion we just give our views, otherwise we just stay away.

Quirkyways....learning and still learning...from the sensible people out there and also from most of all these good people of 90% who just have too much free time, nothing to do but find way to mock and insulting others. We take the  good and throw away the bad. In the past, we witnessed the conducts of the management on the company, their commitment to the shareholders their workers contributing to the country to the community no hesitation at all donated gloves assisting the healthcare workers during the pandemic ....the future of the company is very much lies in the hand of the management in steering the company to the right path.
