This is not the first time of sbb for the Company, logically like we all assumed ..price drop sbb...but of course resolution passed, doesnt mean all in for sbb, it is just the greenlight for the management to proceed with it...

beinvested...just like any of us catching up with the hike in cost of living, the co is now facing increased in material cost, minimum wages which the management indicated not much effect since mostly are met in the past, hike in energy cost, hike in transportation cost, packaging cost etc etc.....I assumed these are faced by the China manufacturers as well and definitely aint cheap for the US manufacturers like Supermax....all in all cash definitely play a significant part in the survival of the fittest in the long run. There is definitely much to be seen in the performance of the management in the coming days.

Berbolabilu...dividend is received provided the company is still kicking and alive in the long run, I believe we all here wish for a long term dividend return from a good stable company, simple as it is.

Matklse....if it is indeed a heinous deliberate attack, all the logical discussion on the present and future of the industry might as well just throw into the tong sampah, I really have nothing to say. The industry itself is with strong players who have years of experience in the industry, putting Malaysia in the map of the world. If the industry is being attack from within our own, apa nak cakap lagi....sigh..saddening

If we are discussing the share price alone here, it is definitely aint rainbow up the sky. But when it comes to long term investment of a good company that is still kicking and alive with good profits and good decent returns to shareholders, we will need to evaluate the future and possibilities of the company in the coming days. Of course we will need to cross out the extraordinary profits and peak in the share price during the olden days of the pandemic.

Like Quirkyway said China has their own problems of covid, banking and property. They have problem with the other big power like US, Japan and may probably the rest as well due to the china taiwan issue....what is the possibilities in the coming days on the market shares of gloves in the long run still questionable, what important is how prepared is the Malaysia gloves manufacturers in grabbing the opportunity when it comes. Nobody wish a long standing industry that contributed great revenue to the country just die out, it is just a matter of support from all the relevant parties to brace through the downturn. The success of the industry is a win win for all, the country the owner the shareholders and the community.

My only hope is the government will value the gloves industry in the country. If our own government is not protecting our own industry that contributed good revenue to the country, how are they, the gloves manufacturers able to put up a good fight against the competitors especially China for a bigger gloves market shares.

Need to look in the long run on the competition between china and malaysia gloves manufacturers in term of mass production and quality wise. It is still unclear which are the survival of the fittest.

In addition follow up on the comment by Investor2021trading, the issue of quality did raised up in the US market as FDA does have a stringent requirement on the quality of gloves. Cheaper price of china gloves, does it compromise the quality of the gloves?

Yes, definitely will look into these manufacturers and make comparison...from the outlook it seems that we have more advantages compared to the china manufacturers.

But china manufacturers do have lots of admirers from the non shareholders here

Gov supposed to assist rakyat not the other way around. During downturn, industry that contributed to the country revenue especially glove sector with humangous profits, with no hesitation at all donating millions of gloves during the pandemic to assist the healthcare workers, if not given any assistance at least not further alleviate the whole situation. The sector has given plenty job opportunities to the younger generation and good returns to the shareholders including EPF during good times. It is saddening during downturn, the industry is now being mocked left right top bottom karma revenge time etc etc with EPF continue dumping the shares to dirt price,  shareholders making losses and every abang adik akak suami isteri working in the industry may wonder what is coming next for them with the condition of the company the market,  overall economy of the country now plus high cost of living.  In the end of the day, who actually win in the whole process? Well, probably this is the share market afterall, big win for EPF humangous profit dumping shares with losses to all the related parties to the industry .........including the country with less revenue to collect in the coming days. Probably gloves sector is just a minor contributer to the country revenue. Ironic.

China definitely has its own big problem to settle at this moment, definitely interesting to see how the china manufacturers throwing the price like there is no tomorrow...at the same time with the military testing by china near the straits of taiwan, there are still possibilities in the coming day, probably not at this instant

Supermax setting up factory in the US to me is just on the no no side, imagine the cost of operation in usd...in addition a couple of new other factories are on its way now which I read the articles they are seeking for assistance from the gov... probably MrThai has already weight in all the pros and cons on his decision with huge cash in hand now. Quirkyway, that is why when the 90% raised the point of china competition in the forum, all these come into place including your previous comment on China Taiwan issue with the involvement of US, the repercussion of the whole possible outcome and where do harta stand in the long run in term of market share

Paktua73, totally understand your stand as well as a swing trader ...my portfolio is open to any options of good profits but old fashion me always look at the background history of the company before investing, usually opt for long term with great emphasize on ESG. One who value their employees will value their shareholders, one of harta attraction for my investment.

How bout banking sector, nobody here seems to recommend banking sector, only plantation and tech..

Paktua73...thank you for the recommendation on tech and plantation stock, will definitely look into it for my share portfolio ....investment fallacy no 3...sentimental investment stand on shareholding....besides fundamental, a little bit of sentimental feeling over my long holding of harta shares...harta just too good to resist holding on with all the plus point, besides getting return, my investment is put into good use of contributing to the country, society/community, job securities for the younger generation...win win for all....too anak malaysia here ...lol....that is why only a small potato investor in the share market, not big money makers like most of you all out there....probably will need to brace for the downside now
