johnny, my opinion is this is a good stock. but not good for contra. but good for long term. and no it will not affect mother share's fundamental at all. its not even related. if affect also indirectly affect it due to goreng the CA/mother share when reaching expiry.

when CA listed, mother went flying. when CB listed, mother went up and came down. CC dunno. u invested alot?

Goreng day for tmr ?? CB first to die followed by CA followed by CC. CC trade at 31% premium to current mom price. CA trades at 21% and CC trade at 16%.

I saw many people asking about what is structured warrants in Karex and Dsonic. So i decided to write a small part to share with you guys on what is structured warrants.(Take Karex as example)

1) Structured warrants have 3 main components
a)Price of mother share (Spot Price: as of today's closing Rm3.29)
b)Exercise Price (Rm3.18)
c)Premium (CA price: as of today's closing Rm0.185)

Structured Warrants have few types but mainly European Style and American Style in Malaysia. In Karex, its European style meaning you only can exercise the contract upon maturity at April 2015.

For an example, if you purchase Karex CA at price today Rm0.185, you are locking yourself to buy Karex mother share at the ratio of 4 warrants to 1 mother share with exercise price of Rm3.18 at April 2015.

So the cost of Karex mother share is [(Rm0.185 x 4)+Rm3.18] = Rm.3.92

So you may ask yourself why do people wan to buy at Rm3.92 when the mother share is only Rm3.29 NOW?? This is because sometimes people may not have a lot of money at disposal. If they feel they have the appropriate amount of money only in April 2015, they can buy now and convert to mother share in April 2015.

So you may ask yourself again, why dont people buy at April 2015? The problem is, what if the price shoot beyond what you can afford in April 2015? That is the reason why this is used as a tool to hedge and lock in your position.

This will allow the buyer of the contract to lock in the price TODAY and buy this Karex mother share in the FUTURE. However, the downside of the contract is that if the the spot price in April 2015 is lower than the exercise price (aka out of the money), the buyer will suffer loss. But the lost is only limited to the price paid for CA(Rm0.185). This is an option therefore the buyer can choose not to exercise the CA. The cost will be the premium paid for CA(Rm0.185) only.

Invest I bought CA because it's cheape than CB. If nothing adverse happen it should be good. here is some good news. HUATTTT AHHHHH




TIME dotCom Bhd announced today its participation in a consortium to build a new submarine cable system that will link Asia and Europe via the Middle East, further enhancing its global footprint.

“Together with 16 international service providers, TIME will construct and maintain the Asia-Africa-Europe-1 (AAE-1) submarine cable system, a high-capacity cable system linking Asia and Europe via the Middle East,” it said in a statement.

Construction of the cable system is expected to start in the second quarter of 2014 and TIME’s investment will see the group secure 1.88Tbps of capacity in AAE-1 upon its targeted completion in 2016.

With a length of 25,000 kilometres, the cable system connects Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, India, Pakistan, Oman, UAE, Qatar, Yemen, Djibouti, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Greece and France.

“Our investment in AAE-1 is strategic for a number of reasons,” added Afzal. But he did not state the value of TIME’s investment.

Now trading at 27% premium with 1 year maturity date with conversion ratio 4:1 with Rm3.18 exercise price. not too pricey but i wouldnt bet my luck on it unless u are a super risk taker. hope no one gets burn this round again.

tewnama, i say 38 because its the highest it has went to. if it break thats with high volume i think will uptrend. but thats only my half baked TA skill. fundamental wise not super cantik but OK lah.

hovid, is super long term investment. my advice is buy only if it breaks 38 cents.

zoomboom, i kena burned also. but what is burn is just the profit i earned earlier from CA. i always set cut loss at 8%. but truly learned my lesson. sigh ;/ happy for a day of gain next i know the happiness is gone. Dsonic is exactly like what Buffett says, fundamental no change but price drop = opportunity to enter. everytime when correction happen, i only regret coz i didnt save much money from my part time last time to invest. still young that time ;/

And let me share with u all a story. that day i have a talk in my uni a very successful entrepreneur. he mainly focuses on helping other people to build company. so people go to him and ask him to team up for their business. thats his nature of business. not a business consultant but he too have a share of the businesses he helped to build.

So i was curious and think of ecoworld for-now-bad fundamentals and stagnant property idea. so i went and ask him what makes u think that the party that come to u is worth your time to set up business with? does the idea matter? do you have anyway to judge the idea is good or not?

What he told me changed my mind. He said 'It didnt matter if the idea is not good. But most importantly what I see is the leader. How the leader shows himself is how i trust the idea works. Ideas changes all the time but leader's attitude stays. Therefore he first see and talk with the leader or the ideas'

So what i learn and may change my view of thinking on stocks is. Who is the one leading the company is most important. No matter how good the fundamental is, if the leader behind the company is not good. the stock price will be stagnant. unless of coz kena goreng-ed up. And this has made me add on to Ecoworld that day before shoot up last week ;p

I read the edge today regarding RHB analyst tell ppl its opportunity to buy. Yes it indeed is an opportunity, but the CA has caused a lot of trouble. now the main syndicate is pushing Dsonic up and down so the CA also can move in a more volatile range. The CA is tremendously expensive now. the fact that it is so expensive but still people are buying and supporting means that syndicate is the one controlling. i worry the next big fall or gain in CA will again affects Dsonic. btw ctea, i join CMSB at 10.60 the other day ;). altho fundamentals is not that awesome per say, but i bliff in u hehe. i salute ctea because optimus keep bashing him but he does not really retaliate much like a kid. truly a professional nigerian fund manager hehe

The problem now is the CA won't rise anymore. because Monday bad news from dsonic to CA. second, bursa issue warning yday. third, this morning bfm tall bout dsonic CA educating ppl bout the CA making ppl realize it has no value now. so all total up. This CA is dead. that's why I ask my fren to cut loss and just learn from this lesson.

kongfei.. i can say around 90% no way it will up even 50%.. but nth is impossible if there is syndicate.. they can down the price by 50% or up it by 50%..

kongfei, 6:1 means u need 6 CA to have the right to have 1 MOTHER SHARE.. on top of that 6CA, u need to pay exercise fees of Rm3.72.. so if today is exercise date, the price to have one MOTHER SHARE is = 6 x Rm0.60 + Rm3.72 = Rm7.32 which is more than 50% more expensive that mother share.. my recommendation is buy mother share of coz.. but if ur risk appetite is very big.. then go for anyone u like.. trade at ur own risk and capability.. thank you..
