Alvian, like many people here I'm a novice. I blend TA with FA meaning that I won't buy stocks that are fundamentally unsound. The reason is that if I make a mistake, and I do quite often, I can pick p the stocks and wait for the price to rise again. The alternative is to cut loss. I learn mostly from books and also from chartists such as those of RHB, etc.TA is only a guide. Generally I find it useful to help me enter or exit a trade.

UOB KH would be keen to buy TA as it would complete its foray into east Malaysia. It is already in Sabah.TA has branches in Kuching and Sibu. I understand that Sibu is particularly lucrative. It will also widen its presence on the peninsula.

Shopping for the best price. Talks of TA selling out are not new. And Tony has denied any interest in selling in the past. I think he has been accumulating shares in the meanwhile so that he can make the ultimate sale. Don't rule out UOB Kay Hian as a suitor. It has been on a buying spree. For Tony, the more the merrier.

I guess there have been many offers to buy TA. The question is the price. And Tony Tiah et al., have been in no hurry to sell. In fact Tony has been buying more of his company's shares at least since last December, according to Bursa records.

A shakeup in CIMB might have delayed the deal. So far price is holding well. But won't be surprised should price fall next week like ten pins.

Certainly a fundamentally good stock. I have made money on this stock over the last three years. But its price is still heading down towards the lower Bollinger band.

The directors can be, and, in reality, many are members of the syndicates. MACD has triggered the sell signal. Let's see if the syndicates and the company directors will drive the price up.

This is a cornered stock with 40m shares issued. Syndicates have been manipulating its price. I bought this stock last year at 0.69 and sold it once it touched 1.00. Thereafter I vowed not to buy this stock again. Yesterday and today are good indications on how the syndicates are driving its price down. In two days, it has lost slightly more than a fifth on relentless selling. No matter what the poor market sentiment is, there is no reason for this stock to take such a beating. This company is fundamentally sound. I think the syndicates are cooking this one for a Ramadhan feast.

Bought at 5.08 and still holding it.

TA is only a guide. There is no sure fire or foolproof trading system. Anyone who tries to sell so is out to make money from you. Simple logic: if I have a foolproof, sure-to-make money trading system, will I be selling it to you? It only shows us how prices are moving and whether there is a good chance that we will be making or losing money. We have to take calculated risks.

Dividends are now a consolation.

Took a risk in buying high. Had to pick up this stock. Paper loss: 0.23. Didn't manage to buy at 2.67 but got some at 2.69 and 2.71 which reduces my paper loss to about 15 sen as of now.

If market sentiment doesn't improve tomorrow, price is likely to fall further and may touch 0.675. FBM KLCI has breached the lower Bollinger band.

Fibonacci retracements 0.0% = 0.96, 23.6% = 0.848, 38.2% = 0.779, 50% = 0.722, 61.8% = 0.666, 78.6% = 0.587, 100%= 0.485.

Still a lot of downside.
