Volume is very thinly traded, less than 1 mil shares exchanged hands these few days. Punters are in other stocks, and not Petron. With Brent crude trading at $68 - 70, retail sales is very encouraging. No reason to be panic.

Just to share whether Hengyuan Q4FY17 performance can be comparable to Q3FY17 performance. Hence I did some analysis and share with others. Hope it helps.

It's 20 December today, 2/3 of the month, Brent Crude is still holding steady above $60, and crack spread above $9. If you look at it carefully, Q4 fundamentals (oil price & crack spread) is better than Q3. Should I blog about it?

Hengyuan, Petron, Petronas Dagangan should do very well in Q4.

Brent crude is stable above $60, Brent crack spread remains stable above $9 too. Bullish outlook for HengYuan Q4FY17.

Is it due to the selling of some % for HK listing? And the profit recognition from that subsidiary is no longer 100% but 60-70% of that subsidiary?

I wonder who is accumulating at such pace, whacking millions worth of shares just like that.

any downside risk is, US shale will beef up production, which may affect brent crude price in Jan / Feb 2018. Let's hope it doesn't happen. Otherwise, Petron and Heng Yuan should have a record breaking earnings for Q4FY17 result.

For most companies in KLSE, it is a min of 10 times of market cap. Imagine Petron Malaysia will have rm300m cash in its balance sheet for FY17. Food for thought.

As we head closer to November, Petron should break rm12 soon. Sentiment be good if Brent crude holds above $50, and crack spread holds above $8.

Will know in November, which is just 1 month away. So far, Brent crude price is holding steady above $50 in October, may it stay at that range and Petron should do very well, even for Q4 2017.
