Agree. We can bury our head in the sand, not seeing not feeling it, in this 6 month moratorium. Then we have to face the accumulation of bank interest & loans by Oct 2020.Yes, the debt scenario will be ugliest post-Oct 2020 and explode exponentially in 2021.

Mohiden could/can negotiate with Tok Mat for him to finish terms b4 GE15 which is due latest late 2023. For 3 and half years as 8th PM, then hand-over to Tok Mat. History will be favorable to him as wartime PM against COVID-19 and likely judge favorably as 8th PM (that off course depend how he handle the economy and the corruption cases from now to 2023). After all, his health(?) & age may be a factor for him to serve longer.

Minority shareholders of AA & AAX are suffering. Meanwhile, the top executives are enriching themselves. In Oct 2016, 559 mil shares issued at discount RM1.84 to the top executives. After that a lot of dividends, the biggest is 90cents which benefited mostly them. Good that Mavcom steps in to check on them.

In Oct 2016, 559 mil shares issued at discount RM1.84 to TF & Kammrudin. After that a lot of dividends, the biggest is 90cents. Minus the 90cents dividend, their cost should be lower than RM0.96. They still have a lot of bullets to support the share price. Now is the time to test their loyalty to AA.

No need the inquiry. Time for TF to retreat. Merge with Malaysia Airline for the benefits of all Malaysian. Win-Win. TF is a liability now, AA & AAX can be on their own without TF's liability. Malaysia Airline, AA & AAX merger will remove competition and ticket price based on market force to make the airlines profititable for shareholders like SIA.

@monetary. I agree with you if Maybank or Public Bank TP is irrelevant or not valid, then my basis earlier is not valid. My whole argument is based on if you believe Maybank TP ? That's why I insert disclaimer in my blog. (Note : I 1st time came across that Public Bnak TP is 0.25, can @monetary share where you get it from ?).
2020-01-13 18:01 | Report Abuse
From this blog, Maybamk TP is 0.16cent. Right subscription is 0.105cent, then Icon-OR listing after ex-date should be 0.055cent (0.160 - 0.105= 0.055cent). Based on @IIImNoob analysis which i verify is valid - for every one Icon share you hold now, you can get 2 Icon-OR. Then if you have 1,000,0000 Icon share now (today closed at 0.045cent), you will get 2,000,000 Icon-OR (which assuming from basis as mentioned will be worth 0.055cent each). You can get RM110,000 just by selling the 2,000,000 Icon-OR after ex-date. And you can also sell the 20,000 consolidated Icon share after ex-date at 0.16 cent (based on Maybank TP).You decide if you want to hold or buy more Icon tomorrow ? Disclaimer : If ex-price of Icon-OR lower than 0.055cent, please don't blame me, but blame Maybank TP of 0.16cent which I gather from this blog. I have not verified the TP with Maybank Invest. The whole argument above is based on this blog which mentioned Maybank TP is 0.16cent. Do you believe Maybank TP as mentioned ? If you believe the TP as mentioned, it make logical sense to buy more tomorrow since Icon is selling at 60% discount at today's price.

DAP's MPs will join PKR if DAP is banned. PKR will have 90+ MPs. Good for Anwar also to claim the PM post (He will have largest party in Parlimen). Those of us who voted in GE14 remember that we actually crossed PKR symbol on the ballot papar though candidates from DAP bcos PH not registered yet & PH was represented by PKR symbol. One of the reason why DAP won big bcos Malays don't see the rocket symbol on the ballot in GE14. It is also good for DAP bcos they tried hard for many years to get Malay support but very littele result. Let DAP forever use PKR symbol as multi-racial party. During GE13, DAP was even ready to use PAS symbol(under Pakatan Rakyat) when DAP was threatened with ban & when Nik Aziz was around. So, for DAP to join PKR is no issue. It also works very well for Anwar. That's why Anwar made this statement.

My guess is TM is v afriad of losing Tg Piah by-election for the loss will probably end his perceived appeal for Malay support. Tg Piah loss will also add pressure to TM for handover to Anwar. So, TM used his old tatics to appeal for Malay support; which obviously not necessary and he definately went overboard and shows he is misreading the current situation in Malaysia. To most right thinking Malaysian, he is perceived to have gone desperate/senile with his current remarks. His recent remarks is a challenge to the foudation for the formation of our beloved Malaysia. The Chinese voters are probably push away by his remarks. Let us see if he can depend on the Malays to win Tg Piah. Just wait Nov 16 to see the impact of the recent episode. It also propel Anwar's significance to calm situation at this critical time.

He has my sympathy;BUT as Bank Chief, he should know that just like stand in for loan guarantee, once the borrower default, the guarantor is liable. In this case, millions deposited into his personal account, MACC will not care that you gave every cent away bcos the source of the money is illegally cheated from the rakyat. The receiver of this illegal money is liable. Let's go along with Anwar to trust Tun M that he will hand over power once the time is right ( we can debate when till the cows come home but we just have to trust Tun M). On education, even the United States face problems when many of the white children are not interested in maths & science. That's why Asian are doing well in their Universities and the silicon valleys. Let's also give time to those who emphasize too much on religious education that they will realize that only maths & science can bring them progress in this modern world. All these call for patience.

I think the voices or feelings of Pessimism by some in Malaysia recently is overdone. It's Merdeka 2019, we have survived 62 year. Now with less corruption (I believe the PH government is sincere about this), Malaysia is moving toward a brighter future. It's good that in New Malaysia we speak out when things are wrong, but should not be overly pessimistic.

@Godofgambler, He only want AA to make huge profits at whatever means; even at the expense of AAX. He is a strategic thinker and knows that as long as AA make good profit, he is safe. Can see his reports ever year on AA selling all the good points how it made profits. But for AAX, every year has excuses why it lost money i.e. loss because exchange rate lah, high fuel cost lah, passenger load lah, etc, etc, and the latest was most ridiculous that AAX lost money because of disposal of aircraft but then AA has 90cent dividents because of disposal of aircraft's. You analyse the logic lah....

@risktransformer, From all publication, AirAsia & AAX share resources and same HQ address and management team is headed by similar personalities. Especially the leadership, they know how to make AirAsia profitable; but AAX is losing money most years, all these raise my doubts.

I have queries but i usually cannot find time to attend the AGM and some more the venue is around KLIa area, so far away : 1) Why is it that after disposal of aircraft, AirAsia made so much money; but AAX suffered great loss ? 2) Is there some accounting gimmick where AAX is made to bear the bad disposals & AirAsia bear the good ones ? 3) With AirAsia making profit every year & gave good dividends; and AAX losing big money most years, no dividends since listing, Is AAX made the whipping boy every year by the parents ( like the step father who dislike the step son AAX born by the previous father) ? 4) Meaning, all bad loss in the AirAsia Group is transferred to AAX and made AirAsia looks good & gave handsome dividend but AAX to bleed to death ?

From the curve presented by KC, about 50% will die at the age of about 85. If a person stopped working at about 65, 50% will probably die between 65 to 85. A person alive now is made up of body, soul and spirit ( the condition of our spirit is another subject that those who are keen to know can google to find out). When a person die, his body died and his/her soul leaves the dead body. Has one starts to think where his soul will go ? May I also suggest that those who retire and who do not know the answer will also start to spend time to search for the true answer. For those who are VERY SURE of the answer as to where his soul will go, I congratulate you !!!

HSR and ECRL steel tracks for sure are imported. Our Malaysian steel factories do not make this type of steel. So, wheather projects on or off, no effect on our steel industrial. But, it has impact on our debts. Better scrap these projects.

I support scraping the HSR at this time when we just can't afford it :
1) We need to have 200,000 passengers per day; We don't even have 20% of it. Wait till we have enough tickets sale volume to build; meaning Malaysia need a population of perhaps 50 million people or close to that of Japan; and
2) My friend in Sydney said even Sydney-Melbourne HSR was scrapped bcos there is just not enough tickets volume to justify the project as Australia too does not have the population to support this.
MCA suffered wiped out in GE14 bcos they supported BN policy. Gamuda share dropped by 50% is not surprising when they supported BN projects. Is there something that we don't know behind their support? PH goverment will be able to be transparant about this.

I support scraping the HSR at this time when we just can't afford it :
1) We won't have 431,000 passengers per day; not even 10% of it. Wait till we have enough tickets sale volume to build; meaning Malaysia need a population of perhaps 50 million people or close to that of Japan; and
2) We cannot compare our economy with Japan, USA or even Singapore( these are developed nations status) with high debt ratio. Their national productivity ratio are also v high for comparison; and
3) My friend in Sydney said even Sydney-Melbourne HSR was scrapped bcos there is just not enough tickets volume to justify the project as Australia too does not have the population to support this.
The accident statistic are fine; but there is other ways to reduce this which our new transport Minister is thinking of new ways to reduce it.

Sslee. I salute you for always able to rationalize & write logically. Yes. If the current democracy process fail to provide the final "human" check & balance; there is another final check & balance called the " democracy of death". No one can escape death either due to old age, sickness. That's the beauty of God's creation. We cannot last forever. After that, new people take over. Yes. it takes patience to wait it out. But in life, patience is a virtue.

Uncle Koon is definitely a +ve factor in Jaks. Many minor shareholders in companies that are languishing yearn that Uncle Koon will buy into it; but he is smart & will not simply buy into any company. Swim with the winning Uncle Koon. He is a strong voice in Jaks to prevent hanky panky in Jaks. I hope he is in companies like Mulpha to voice strong stand on abuses; and even Mudajaya (don't hope too much on Mudajaya) which is more or less controlled by Mulpha. But Uncle Koon is too smart not to be entangled with the Mulpha's boss who exert control on Mudajaya.

This stock has great fundamentals.... but it has one major problem; it is link to Mulpha's boss who never has the shareholders' interest in mind... Mulpha has no dividends for years despite making profits; milk shareholders'money via RI; and most companies want share split; but mulpha go opposite direction to merge 10 to 1; doing all sorts of tricks instead of creatively using RI money to expand the business. I hope Mudajaya's management will resist influence from Mulpha's boss.

Pay RM2450 for 10000 units of L&G now, you get RM200 dividend in about a month from now. Pay RM9040 ( today price) for 1000 units of Maybank shares, not sure you will get RM200 in next few months. Or for big buyer, pay RM9800 (ie 1 lot maybank + RM800) for 40000 units of L&G, you get RM800 dividends.
(Disclaimer : Maybank share is more stable, but it has gone down to RM7 before. However L&G is at 5 years historical low, it may not go down much due to current penny stocks euphoria). Money is yours, you decide.
