3rd quatre performance has much improved. EPS is now 0.3 sen cf loss of 1.0 sen in the previous same quartre last year. As small hydro projects will soon be commissioned, earnings will likely to explode going forward. The co. is in the renewable energy sector, and expected to flourish as it it is line with gov emphasize on green energy.

This kind of biz has an excellent future growth as there will be increasing demand for data especially in still developing countries where OCK has interest.

Never simply belief and follow what analysts say or recommend. They have their own agenda which may not be in line with your interests. They are just doing their jobs to earn their monthly stipends.

AZRB may benefit from moratorium imposed by Indonesian gov on new planting. There will be less future supply and price of cpo may rise then. Most of co land has been planted.

U can't blamed the analysts for being promotional. If they dare to differ from what the management guide, they may be sidelined in future contacts. In additional they are not allowed to upset future biz deals of their banks with the companies.
They basically write what the companies they are covering and their employers told them to write.

For the investors, the story that is the prospect of the biz is more important that the figures especially the past one. We invest for the future not the past. My personal view is that this biz has good prospect as more and more mobile operators outsource their towers and tower sharing is getting more popular. In addition more towers are needed as technology moving from 3G to 4G and 5G.

My biggest worry is the investment in India not so much turkey. IHH should have been prudent enough by not buying Fortis.

Management bought Jaks earlier via Long Term Incentive Plan at RM 1.40. In addition there were two Private Placements in early 2017 and 2018 at RM 1.36 and RM 1.38 respectively. The IRR for the project is at least 12%. Any knowledgeable person can make a quick estimate the IRR for the investors (Jaks & China Partner) will enjoy with a high D/E Ratio of 75/25 for 25 years !

Again surprising insiders not buying even at this low. Is it something they know but we don't know?

Calvin, on what basis you said if Vietnam IPP, the value of Jaks is only Rm 1 to Rm 1.20 range only. Interesting to know your knowledge and expertise on the IPP project if you don't mind sharing it with us.

In investing u must not listen to anybody especially those that urge u to buy or sell a certain counter. The promoter certainly not thinking about ur interest when he is doing it, just like most other human beings his self interest must necessarily come first even at ur detriment.

We already have too many foreign labor for a small country. Even Saudi Arabia is sending home many foreign workers in order to make locals involve in its reformed new economy. Cheap labor will discourage capital investment to make economy more productive

When we make gains, we think we r smart but when we loose we blame any thing except ourselves. Just human nature . Never listen to any tip or advice in investing lest u will be led astray.

The cosrtruction job is just an arrangement with Chinese partner to reward Jaks for getting IPP license, and the so called profit is just notional, not real.

IPP is very capital intensive biz. It can be very highly profitable but with tremendous high risks. Financing, construction, operation, environmental, counterparty, political ect must be carefully considered. Just look at what happen to IPP plant in India constructed n partly owned by Mudajaya but turn out to be a nightmare.

He then could achieve a double gains: make profit n at same time punish the others. We the innocent ones may suffer as collateral damage!

Old man is very cunning. Yes he could be the one that plan the forced selling n then buy back at lower prices. We must therefore think at multiple levels of thinking as Keynes rightly said.

Better still if he is the one that engineer the price drop!

The smart or cunning one will sell first if he expects prices to come down n then buy back. Make easy profit n at same time for one that has margin financing will save interest cost too. Double joy!

If u r investors u should solely based ur decision on intrinsic value only, not swayed by the current prices too much. However if u r traders u should certainly keep close on supply n demand of the securities. I believe the current prices do not reflect fair value of Jaks. Invest for the future not the past n keep cool.

Subsidy if needed should be targeted and given only to deserving citizen only. Water is a natural resource that should be priced to at least reflect the full economic cost of production which must include among others the associated environmental costs.
