Last week, Green Packed announced a venture with China Internet giant Tencent as its local partner for an AI-enabled e-KYC product.

This may sound like a lot of tech garble to the uninitiated, but there are two key takeaways from this deal.

One is that Tencent owns WeBank, the top digital bank in China which since its formation in 2014 has led the space in terms of its asset quality, profitability and return on equity.

WeBank is also a success story in the usage of technology in banking; its chat box handles 98% of customer enquiries and its eKYC facial recognition solution has fulfilled over 640 million identity verification requests.

Gpacket's Kiplepay Sdn Bhd has inked an agreement with Tencent to provide e-KYC ( Electronic Know Your Customer) Services.
The KipleID e-KYC will be offered to businesses, especially banks and financial institutions.
KiplePay will leverage on Tencent's facial recognition and machine learning capabilities to build a localised e- KYC solution in Malaysia through the KipleID e-KYC.
The KipleID e-KYC will deploy Tencent's patented single flash liveness detection solution, integrating reflection based and motion based detection technologies.
Green Packet is currently in talk with several leading companies to pilot the KipleID e- KYC solutions.

A giant telecommunications group from China is betting on Malaysia to expand its fifth generation (5G) technology and is eyeing several companies here to help build the network.

Sources said the Chinese group was investing billions of ringgit on 5G technology this year, despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

"They are seeking partners with 5G capabilities and have targeted a few companies here. They hope to start talks post-movement control order," said a source.

It is understood that the group was looking at Green Packet Bhd and XOX Bhd, which are 5G-ready.

The issue of Krono Impairment loss, is a big effect on Krono share price..

Foresee ... the next few days, Krono will be dropping more.
Why ? A lot of investors, today, are maintaining a wait and see attitude on Krono..
But then, after a few more days, there will not be any wait and see attitude, but straight away cut loss..

Why hold on to something that is dropping and why not use that money to buy some thing else like Armada ? Comfort ? Ekovest ? where you could get back your hard earn money.
