KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian glove makers have received an urgent request from China for more medical gloves following the outbreak of the coronavirus which started in Wuhan, China which has killed over 100 people.

The President of the Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association (MARGMA), Denis Low said on Tuesday the industry would do its utmost best to ensure an adequate supply of medical gloves to the world are met.

“In particular, China is now requesting for more urgent shipments and we believe our members have already obliged and are ramping up production to meet the request from China, ” he said.

BEIJING, Jan 25 — China’s Haikou city, capital of the southern island province of Hainan, will start a 14-day centralised medical observation for tourists from the central Hubei province, centre of the coronavirus outbreak, from today at noon, the Haikou government said.

Tourists from Hubei, especially from Wuhan city, are not allowed to leave the hotel where the medical observation will be held during the 14-day period, it said.


Hubei has confirmed 729 cases of the new coronavirus, with 39 deaths as of Jan 24, the provincial health authorities said. — Reuters

Fifteen people died from coronavirus in Wuhan, China on Friday, bringing the death toll to 41 people, Chinese officials said in a statement online.

A second case of the virus was confirmed in the U.S. Friday, along with three cases in France.

The victims in China were between the ages of 55 and 87 years old, the statement said. In Hubei Province, where Wuhan is located, 180 new cases of coronavirus were reported Friday, bring the total number of people affected to more than 1,000 worldwide.

French health officials confirmed the first three cases in Europe. At a press conference Friday afternoon, Health Minister Agnes Buzyna identified two of the patients as a 48-year-old man in the southwestern city of Bordeaux, who had passed through Wuhan; and another person in Paris, who had also traveled to China. Both were hospitalized.

PARIS: France confirmed on Friday its first three cases of the Wuhan coronavirus, with two patients being hospitalised in Paris and the other in the southwestern city of Bordeaux.

In a separate statement on Friday, the health ministry announced the third case, a relative of one of the first two.

Yes, agree CUTlost : Many who brought Myeg at 1.18 and 1.19 ( chase high), has already cut loss, or buy more to add to average out.

Flow of thought : Why people are willing to buy ( chase high at 1.18 or 1.19) ??
Last Year MYEG was at 1.7++ and 1.8++.

Last Year MYEG does not have the new Indonesia tax system in 30 cities in Indonesia, but yet still can go to 1.7++ and 1.8++.
Last Year MYEG also does not have the new Phil system....

That why people ( Traders / investors) are chasing high of MYEG.
