Just returned from U.K., where there is strong consensus of Taurx getting the approval. NHS can’t afford, the drug that was approved few days back….which is expensive as has side effects.

We will hear from MHRA in October, 2024! So tighten your belt.

I concur with sentiments made by members in this forum on MHRA will be the first to approve TauRX. Don’t forget TaURX is based in Aberdeen and naturally has some relationship with the authorities in the UK. Also TaURX with its low implementation costs suits cash strapped NHS. Under the new fast track approval process the timeline suggests we could see action during 4th qtr! Fingers crossed. Genting insiders is my big concern as in the past have proven to be untrustworthy, perhaps they may changed the spots!

Placebo issue has a precedent where by a drug was approved without the use of placebo. So technically speaking TauRX could address the issue.

TauRX is only hope for Genting others such listing in US is questionable or perhaps when LKT is gone as his governance style may be problematical for us listing! As to TauRX don’t forget application to UK is under fast track … I still think there is good chance this year!

@Koosan, no need to be rude! We are investors wanting the company to do well and generate returns to the shareholders… nothing else! Sometimes you have to accept the truth no matter how bitter. I remain invested because I want Genting to move away from the past and get investors confidence! Just a reminder to some who think we are very critical of LKT and Genting! Look at the facts, it has been in drown trend basically from 2011 onwards price peaked than. You have to really ask why this counter does not go up compared to others! It is nothing to do with actual business as but more about past behaviours and governance issues. Simple as that!

Having AGM online is indefensible! It shows the business and management are hiding from shareholders. Very sad!

There is no denying Genting is undervalued in region of 38% using price earnings ratio as valuation metrics. The peer average is 26 compared to 12.8 Genting PER. The reason for this valuation deficit is lack of trust of owner and independence of the management team from the owner. No attempt to address this issue most companies will be proactive in communicating and having analysts meetings and also share buy back etc. here the guys are asleep very old style 20 century living in digital AI world!

Well @Choysun, quite simple as an investor I want to make profit and I think Genting is materially undervalued. There is of course no guarantee that the valuation gap will shrink nor that past owner behaviour improves along with investor sentiment in Genting. Let’s hope and pray!

LKT meets his KPI, someone suggested? What KpI, in particular? Maxims cash flows, maximise sales , revenue, return on capital, EPS, distribution of growth / dividends to Shareholders? I would say none of these!

Please don’t compare Genting with other companies as it run by monoliths, legacy mindset with low appetite for governance and business ethics. If Empire was such good investment Genting should have bought directly and not through LKT private investment vehicle! It does not make sense! Yet folks here think that’s perfectly ok! Nobody on the Board questioned the ethics of this and at what price the investments were sold…..? I bet you at profit to private entity! This is the issue whether we like it or not.

LKT does not care about AGM or what investors think, as it has very little impact on his wealth generation as it also factored in the small price movement! If he worried about share price he would have taken action to promote share price! Like other ceos do.

Waiting for this postive chart people are speaking about to take affect soon. A good rally is not 10 sen! A good rally should be at least 10%. Staying hopeful but also aware of the reality. 1st qtr Results are known by the insiders.

Business growth, Malaysian economy growth, high level of tourists visiting Malaysia, charts of all sorts mean nothing for this counter as it is manipulated big time ….problem m at the heart is CEO private entity and family own large chunk of shares in all Genting entities ….which is basically a conflict of interest with the listed company shareholders …..Genting is being used as private entity with the legal protection of a listed company ….with poor checks and balances in place.

All this tax business does not explain the performance of Genting group, it is a diversified business. In my opinion the damage is done by poor governance behaviour …..investment in Empire by a private entity owned by the boss and than realising it is incurring losses dumping to Genting ….dumping of shares to cover losses in Genting Cruise business,rewarding yourself highest pay, announcing business activity which never Haines and straight away dumping shares ….all these cause havoc with investors.

Most of global markets are in a bull run……but here and in particular Genting, is completely lost.

Choysun, let’s see. I see it differently, charts apply to companies who play it straight based on volume of trade. But here we have elephant in the room who can do unexpected things. Difficult to call. The results are known, I would have expected much more buying ahead of 25 May?

Best Qtr won’t make a difference. Let’s see, I may be wrong. People buy shares for income or and capital growth. Capital growth happens when net people buy the shares and not sell. In case of G there are net share sellers….

Special dividend? Share buy back to improve EPS? That’s what good companies are doing specially when share price is below valuation by a good margin I guess not as there is considerable debt in the books and poor performing and draining Empire resorts dumped on Genting.

Agree genting should be well north of 5.40. Let’s see. Luckily I make my money in US and recently UK markets.

Yes, sure charts are important, and I have been following them since 2011! Thinking the down trend is over. What charts don’t reveal is the behaviour of the owner as they are not based on business but liquidity needs elsewhere!
