US and Japanese market has been the leaders so far this year. With Japan delivering whopping 43 % return and US 27 % circa return this year, even Europe has been positive. What is worrying is we continue to underperform and when US correction happens which is due, we will follow the correction downwards but never upwards! China and HK is struggling and this needs to reverse, most likely 2025.

The main issue with Taurx is that placebo cannot be used as a comparator. I thought scientifically it can be proven that the drug is effective. Can’t see if additional testing will resolve this issue. The data gathered so far is conclusive…and given its safety profile there is a strong case for approval. Also there is a precedent where approval has been given without a placebo comparator …hopefully the regulators are convinced. On balance there is strong case for approval to be given unless of course politics is in play, which can never be discounted. I feel very positive of the outcome however I impact on Gent price and major shareholder behaviour is the major unknown…still risk / reward ratio is positive

Conference was very positive for TauRX, however I would keep an eye on sell volumes, as there may be people who would initiate a panic sell in order to buy low further good news might be many months later in the year…any drop to 4.50 would be a very good buy…though I would be surprised if it went that low!

I understand that the panel discussion yesterday at the conference post release of test data went very well. This is encouraging. Let’s hope politics don’t impact the approval! With FDA you just don’t know.

OTB…Michael Chan has answered your questions. I am in agreement with him. Just want to add that listing in US is a lengthy process and they are very focussed on governance matters and disclosures so don’t see listing in US soon. Genting Berhad is the better option as it diversified by investing in associates as well as investment in Taurx which we know will be beneficial ultimately.

Sell queues sometimes are not realised the following day. Sell orders are cancelled before market opens….part of the tricks used to ‘cause panic selling. We know that approval for Taurx is matter of time and if one wants to take a chance you have to forget the volatility and focus on the bigger prize.

Today there is a panel discussion and I am sure there will be also some discussion on how to g product to market post approval…. by all accounts all big pharma companies and regulator are presented. The strategy options there to alone and list the company or JV with major Pharma…..listing may be more rewarding but initially more costly.

The poor final results were manufactured for sure through creative accounting …using impairment charges which are very subjective …..we also know that auditors are not independent and have poor record world wide!

As I said Genting governance is very poor. Last time june 2022 if I remember correctly share price was suspended pending announcement of results which were still effectively in progress until additional 12 month was added to open label. This time the extended test results are even more conclusive and yet no suspension! These things and May Banks timely article needs to be questioned. Foreign investors will keep out due to poor governance. It all stems from owner / CEO …..should be independent western professional CEO …sorry to say that!

Panel discussion today will further cement the outcome and success of the drug. New investors will pile in perhaps foreign flows when market opens later this afternoon. It will take time for news to filter through and ultimate possibilities will run for while. With 1qtr showing uptick things will look better.

Once approval is given or even just before some big pharma company may make an offer to JV or similar to manufacture market and distribute the product. What ever happens 2024 promises to be an exciting year. Remember markets look ahead. Those who sell early may miss out on ultimate gains.

We already know the past results were positive, and were promising, the additional data is being presented can only be positive, otherwise they would not go through this process of expense to present inclusive data! Simple logic…and don’t forget they have already applied for CA ….in my opinion it is already case of When and not of If…..the process to marketing the product and generating revenue is a fairly long one. That said the market is forward looking and investors will begin to make the move early, as suggested by Maybank the strategy could be to invest early or have a good position early …given that Genting is below valuation in May case without Taurx it makes sense to invest at this pricing point. Some folks will trade but the better option is to invest and wait surely,….it is a gamble worth taking ….all stock investment is a gamble.

Actual presentation of test data and results are on 7 March, one should form own opinion on the test data and discussion by the experts to work out probability of CA. Don’t rely on May bank or my other analysts as they are all crooks…playing a double game.

We know that approval update is not forthcoming at the conference, however the results of the extended test data will be revealed and discussed at the conference with industry experts. The outcome won which will indicate whether there is a strong probability for CA from the regulatory bodies in UAE, US and U.K. This should be sufficient cause excitement and rerating of Genting share price. Let’s see. Risk / reward on balance is to remain invested or increase investment!

Get somebody like Tufan E Turkish CEO of Rolls Royce plc aeronautical company, I promise he will sort out Genting in 1 year….he is master of turn around and he is on GBP 1 m plus salary, share options. He is not demand …..the problem is he will find many things thst are being done not to make profit ….!

I honestly think Genting needs a new CEO perhaps from another country and industry….need a professional business manager and not shareholder. Pay should not be an issue as current incumbent earns top tier compared to international markets…in fact he is over paid, fresh blood will invigorate share price

I am sure people in this forum will be happy to learn that IAG (British Airways) made GBP 3b profit increasing by 600% from last year and yet the price fell 3.9% ! Annual profits made up 50% of the value of the business …Shockingly undervalued .We are not alone😀😀. The reason cited, management are very poor in communicating and strategy is also prone to surprises. Sounds very familiar.

Closing of casinos means more impairment charges,😡in the pipeline.

Good move to close old casinos! Really, why was it not done earlier? Always chasing the game…quite obvious hoards of Chinese tourists have not materialised and further more those that have come are not going to casinos old or new. Makes you wonder how this business is being managed …had so much time during CV19 to review business model and strategy ….! On same token of very bad there would have been lot of sales? Probably profitable but not in with expectations! Our expectations based on results to date is that the price should be 5.7 or thereabouts in any case. Unless sales slump across the business units.

No need to sell, it is just Singapore other results may be ok….also there may be certain announcement!

We know 2023 full year will generate higher profit than FY 2022, however the final quarter may show lower profitability …as was the issue with Singapore ..with no previous warning or indication ….as it should have been flagged during 3rd Qtr results! Also no update on Miami land sale. All gone quite which suggest to me there were really no real buyers in the first place just interest.

As a minority shareholder we need to be vigilant of big sell done followed by announcement on Taurx for example…this can happen in March or perhaps later. Public announcement as well trade suspension will controlled by Genting .. this is also a possibility, who knows.

Good discussion what the real issue is here. We are beginning to understand what is the cause of underperformance. The business post CV is recovering well, but the issue is the boss holding majority of shares and therefore minority shareholders are impotent. He can’t be removed as CEO and even business deals such Empire resorts transfer to Genting cannot be challenged nor can dividend payments …as the boss is in charge firmly in all business units as well Group company. This in itself is highly unusual. It is very frustrating being shareholder as we all want to make company from a business that has done well in the past. To make money we need Genting to operate as a listed company operating in open market conditions!

Sure they may be right, but these surprises are all too common with Genting …. This time it is impairment suddenly next time something else or as was few weeks back transferring more shares held privately in empire resorts to Genting! Company lacks governance and professionalism I would say …needs to CEO from outside to get credibility not a family member.

Good old dreaded impairment charges…these charges go up and own like yo yo. This is called Creative accounting ……let’s see what impact this has on the group as well as if other business also have elevated impairment charges …often referred to as black box!

See the headline focus on full year results as opposed to last quarter. No explanation notes etc. when you watch major western companies results presentation, there is granular data explanation and the CEOs are so professional as they have to be otherwise they get sA ked by shareholders. I watched Rolls Royce live presentation including questions from analysts. It was absolutely brilliant . The CEO is brilliant…so is the CFzp we have monkeys ….there is no consistency from 1 quarter to another ..suddenly you find items written off in one period ….very difficult to read…..the results.

Excellent Genting Simgapore results $611 million net profit 80% higher y-o-y revenue up 40% to 1.5 b usda! Excellent well,done. Will it translate into higher Genting group,proce let’s see!

Never interviewed by TV channels like Bloomberg / CNBC etc …..as they not professional managers …and do t have a world perspective.

Poor snow no pressure results rally….Genting Sing also no activity …..very poor really. The management of these companies in Asia are not proactive…don’t know how to speak and market the company ….witht he exception of one or two ceos

Fair value using recognised valuation tools suggest the price should be 5.78 and the net asset value is 8.40 so this along with improving business environment and hopefully lowering of interest rates should mean share price rise. But as I said these positive metrics do not address owner disposing shares at will without warning ……or investing in poor assets…..this has created mistrust …only really good hope is Taurx as it will be potentially new income stream. Incidentally Miami land sale has gone quiet…when it was announced the price went up which followed by dumping of shares and then annocument that deal,was off! Very iffy.

Boss sells we do t get to hear about it until after case in point when Taurx news was announced, price shots up well into 5.30+ and it boss u loaded and we were told after the disposal ….too late ……price already collapsed. Boss gets advantage of first move ! Never real time! This happened on few occasions. Let’s see. Laws need to be changed for significant disposal …unloading 500 m USD is not small change when foreign inflows of 150m usd is regarded by Bursa as significant foreign inflow!

Genting S results close of business tomorrow. Genting following day ….price going no where …..results are known to insiders for sure ….yet price is neutral. Anything can happen …who knows
