One month ago the total gain of Insas from 2019 (86 sen) to 2023 (86.5 sen) was merely half sen. Nobody said Insas was deeply undervalued then. Today we see lots of water fish.

Mr Sslee here accumulated over 2.3 million Insas shares at one stage and yet the price drifted down lower and lower.

My initial layout on Insas would have tripled over the past ten years giving me a gain in excess of 200%.

The smart investor would have bought Insas in 2019 at 86 sen, sold all in 2021 at RM1.20, bought back in 2023 at 80 sen and sold last week atvRM1.28.

Dow Jones closed up 200 points yesterday, so some confidence will return to our market, Insas will attempt 1.20 again.

An institution is allowed to hold up to 20%, so shouldn't be a problem. Above that level is going to be hard to justify.

Every undervalued laggard stock will spike up one fine day. Laggards are best to buy when it's hibernating and best to sell after it spikes.

@BLee, I have completely exited from Insas a few times before and got back again when price is cheap. I have done for other counters like Affin, KPS many times over and over again. What is certain from my over 30 years of investing in the stock market is that price will always fall back to the level I first bought or even lower.

Sarawak wishes for a bank ...... their very own bank ....... the closest to getting a bank is holding a substantial stake in a small bank like Affin.

Everyone admits that Insas is indeed deeply undervalued and has been deeply undervalued for over a decade. Insas is a classic "triad" category of stock. No one dates to attempt a hostile takeover as it would be risking your life to do so.

The pattern of spike I observe is a syndicate play. The timing of the "deeply undervalued" write up and comments are suspicious. This is already a known fact for the past 15 years.

Mikecyc is always here in Insas forum because he actually secretly buys Insas cheaply and disposes at high prices making tons of money. He doesn't reveal it but we know. Congratulations to him.

Insas is the case study of a value trap. It hibernates drifting down, goes sideways, drift down, inched up, goes sideways, then one fine day it spikes up and all the experts come out saying it's deeply undervalued and start forecasting target prices that it will not reached as it's a value trap.

Sarawak wish to have a bank under its control but Federal government wouldn't allow that, otherwise every other state also wish to do so. At best Sarawak gets up to 20% stake in Affin which the current legislation allows. Sarawak wants to pay peanuts and of course LTAT wants as much as possible. Probably price will be somewhere between RM2.30 and RM2.40.

We wouldn't know when the show is over until the show is over.

Mr Sslee, Ah Tong daren't face you at subsequent AGMs that's why he resigned as director.

Mr Sslee, when you accumulated over 2.3 million shares even Ah Thong didn't feel threatened, he kept the price for long hoping that you would give up.

@MrSslee, now that you have sold down your significant holdings it's best to look for other counters to invest for greater returns. Insas would be great to buy back again at around 80 sen.

Insas ending up with less shares will enhance its value to RM6 meeting your target price.

Even doing share buy back without cancelling will trigger MGO.

Get waiver lah.

Don't have to distribute the treasury shares, can cancel them.

Waiver is to allow share buy back without triggering an MGO. Ah Thong doesn't have to spend a sen, minorities don't have to spend a sen.

@MrSslee, over the years when you raised your shareholding to over 2.3 million shares becoming one if the top 30 shareholders, I finally admit to myself that Insas is a value trap because if someone could accumulate do much and yet the price continues to drift down it can only mean Insas is forever a value trap.

I just checked the outstanding short selling position of Insas. Apparently it's now zero. There used to be short sellers depressing the price but they were all forced to covered their short positions. Inari there's a huge outstanding short selling position, one of the highest.

Next month returning to AS for CNY?

Affin closed at 2.45, tomorrow to assault 2.50.

There's no doubt the biggest winner in Insas is MrSslee. Despite some hurtful comments from some people, I believe they all are happy for you.

Today received so much Insas dividend.

Insas is a counter where we slowly for months accumulate from 75 sen to 85 sen and then wait and wait and wait and wait for the lovely days where price finally spikes above RM1.10 to start taking profits.
