The Edge's article is misleading in my opinion. The private placement price only takes the weighted market average price up to 22nd March 2017. On the 22nd, the closing price was 0.24 sen. The 10% discount only applies to the selected 5 days period up to 22nd March 2017. If compared to the price after that, of course it is higher because it was pushed up. But why?

Oh well.. I guess we'll have to wait a bit longer for another opportunity to grab more at discounted prices.

Haha..chill guys, I don't see anyone praising this counter after the rocket up. Everyone was rather intrigued and hence the discussion. Not one said this was a good counter except for those who have been here for long :).
And there's no need to be so salty about the price boost. If you snagged some profit good for you. If you lose, try again.
The power of sentiment like this should never be underestimated especially if it's gonna attract foreign fund.
It doesn't work like that sheep. It's not yet placed even. Even after the placement, yes there will be dilution, but the total no of shares issued will still be less than 500 million units. And usually, when they've made announcement like that, they are close to identifying a buyer. Question is who.
And no I don't own Cuscapi shares :) .

Ehh..cannot read the title only. Must read content also. Bursa has approved Reach's application to extend the implementation of private placement up to 22 Aug 2017. So within the coming months the PP can be anytime if they decided to implement.

Dude, this is a very high risk one. Dataprep is at least the share of a company. This warrant is close to maturity and the exercise price is RM0.75. Unless somebody decide to drive the mother price to at least the same or more than RM0.75 than, this warrant is worth buying and then converted to mother before maturity.

Thanks Erie :) . Just to avoid any misunderstanding, I'll rephrase. I actually like what Ecowld has shown. When comparing this latest 2017 1st QR to the 2016 1st QR, the profit after tax has increased. It's just when comparing this quarter to the previous quarter which is the 4th quarter of financial year 2016, is a bit less. But, this is the first quarter of a new financial year and Ecowld has more high valued projects to be included in the coming quarter reports. Why rush to report everything in one basket when can arrange nicely (in increasing order)? :)

According the latest QR: 3. Prospects for the Current Financial Year Page 11, EWI reported that its cumulative sales for the 1st quarter ended 31 January 2017 was RM6.488 billion based on exchange rates as at 31 January 2017.

"Upon completion of the Group’s subscription for its 27% stake in EWI by Q2 FY2017, it will be entitled to recognise a proportionate share of EWI’s sales for FY2017 which add on to its pipeline of future earnings."

What do you think? Sounds nice to me :) and the Board believes they are on track to achieve its sales target of RM4 billion sales in Malaysia for FY 2017. In Malaysia. EWI is international :).

oh ya, 1 more, most companies will try to end their FY with a bang :) . 1 downside is, will be tricky for the 1st QR in the next FY to lessen the difference (if there is any) and might appear 'sad' like you said.

YoY Not that sad la. QoQ just less., Ekovest 1st QR for FY2017 also like that i.e lower net profit compared to the 4th QR FY2016.

Ladies/guys, if you buy using cash (not contra), worse come to worst, you will be stuck with paper loss if you don't plan to exit, until the day they decide to push the price up.

My thought is, if the hotels and resort they are managing are really really making money, then next quarter report will be encouraging for investors to flock in.
