It could drop further to maintain competitiveness in the market. If Trump really want to go for a destructive trade wars, he would have imposed 25% on US 200 billion value of goods. lol

It’s about personal interests in the end. Many of them will be cursing their government later part. US consumers have to bear hike in inflation at least 10% if trade wars turn into full fledged . The pressure of full time investing or trading is rather different from freelance. Self psychology management is important to keep us moving forward and no looking back. Keep working hard to look for opportunities even though blocks are ahead of us.

Don’t expect fast money from Bursa all the time in the crisis market. We may not able earn a single cent in 6 or 12 months but the returns is tremendous once we have gone through this critical period. It’s not advisable to simply jump into full time if one without backing with good records....Don’t underestimate the bear power..crushing our confidence.

It’s a high barrier of entry to come up cash upfront at least 1.5 million. We can lower barrier through past track successfully records. If you can grow your capital from 100k to 500k in less than past 10 years, it shouldn’t be a problem to go for full time investing or trading with capital barely 500k. Of course, we may need some passive income or savings to support family expenses for next 2 years to be conservative.

SAM is backed in growth momentum. Great!

It's an unexpected lackluster QR due to timber segment shortage of quality logs for production and fulfillment of backlog orders. Hopefully, no more such funny reasons in next QR. WTK has turned into a net cash company 11 cents per share (deducted payable ) after de-consolidation O & G segment.

Perstima has successfully passed additional costs to its customers in Malaysia judging from the latest QR. Local market will be profitable in the next few quarters as certain protection on imported tinplates is remained to local manufacturer. But it's not easy in Vietnam market due to free competition.

Plantation segment has returned to the black after they started operating new palm oil mill. No more preoperation expenses due to setting up as incurred last year. Its 11,800 hectar planted palm oil will be maturing gradually in the next few years.

Timber segment will be contributed positively to WTK as asp trending upward due to shortage of logs. But it would be a liability to TAAN, Subur and Jtiasa in short term as they have slashed log production in the past few months.

We can ignore WTK other business segment since contribution don’t have much impact to its bottom line.

The log production is so low in the past 2 months so not much help even though prices of timber rockets to the moon. I doubt its Timber segment profitablility.
