if you bought for 90sen dividend and still holding.. actually u are making capital loss RM1.95 -1.65 = RM 0.30. Most companies after ex-date, will drop even more than the dividend payout..

if draw a line peaks to peaks, lowest point to lowest point.. it is a very scary downward long term trend without light..

Buy when people don't want, this is the only way to buy cheap, of course we don't know where is the bottom, it may go down even lower until u loss confident and scare then sell with loss..

We also don't know how long it will take to bounce back, so do make sure company still earning $$ and able to give dividend with strong cash flow, business model is good prospect, and don't use margin.. only use your extra money to average down bit by bit.. and wait the good bargain.. then sell with profit..

this is how you get reward with your patient and confident :)

if bought before ex dividend at 2.8, after ex 2.8 - 0.9 = RM 1.9, now RM 1.75, basically still making loss RM 1.9 - 1.75 = 0.15. And you just get back 0.9 you paid, some more have to wait one month ( cash locked ) :) So nothing excited about dividend pay. The share price will adjusted accordingly :)
