In the circumstances, the parties mutually agree that:

(i) the SCA shall be terminated with immediate effect on 4 October 2023; and

(ii) as a result of the termination, BHB shall return the Deposit (equivalent to the sum of RM229,151,989.46) to KLK within 14 business days from 4 October 2023, or such other later date as may be agreed between the parties.

The termination of the SCA is not expected to have any material effect on the earnings, earnings per share, NA and NA per share of the KLK Group for the financial year ending 30 September 2024.

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 2): Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd announced that it will close down its home shopping business “Go Shop” from Oct 11, citing “challenging overall economic landscape and the changes in consumer shopping behaviour”.

In a statement on Monday, Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd said the group and its Korean joint venture partner GS Retail Co Ltd (GSR) have decided that Astro GS Shop Sdn Bhd (AGSS), which operates the home shopping business under the brand name “Go Shop”, will cease operations beginning Oct 11.

AGSS is a joint venture between Astro Malaysia’s wholly owned subsidiary Astro Retail Ventures Sdn Bhd (holding 60% equity interest) and GSR (the balance 40%).

Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, next in line to be the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, conveyed his willingness to shoulder the responsibility.
