Recently i met 2 guys in a Foot Reflexology shop in Jurong, Singapore. And this is their story

Both hailed from Ipoh, Perak
One worked as a cook
Long hours job standing for 10 to 12 hours cooking food
Salary is Rm1500 per month
Very low?

So he has come over here in Spore and work in a Foot Reflexology shop

His income about S$2,800 a month
At Rm3.46 he now gets about Rm9,688. He lives in a shared Hdb flat for S$350 a month or Rm1,211 (that is the cheapest he could get in Singapore. No aircond room shared with other "strangers" the flat is very basic.
His purpose?
Earn enough money for plane fare and expenses then migrate to other places like Australia or USA. Singapore only a transit springboard.

Next guy worked as a Car Tyre shop as mechanic in Ipoh. Pay is also Rm1,500

He lives in Jb and take public transport from Jb Ciq to his work place every day
Journey is one hour each way

He together with 2 friends rent a whole 2 rooms condo in R&F high rise condo for about Rm2100 a month
His share is Rm700 to enjoy the luxury..

His purpose?
None. Just work and see how later.

Some facts you need to know

1. Once Tsh debt was as high as Rm1.5 Billions and service bank loan int per qtr alone is Rm5 millions or more

2. After strong income from both high cpo and assets disposal the latest balance sheet only showed a net debt of mere Rm95 mil

3. On Jan 18 2023 Tsh has completed Bulugan land sold (Rm457.5 mil was received out of Rm731.09 cash sale) balance Rm273 mil

4. However this balance sum of Rm273 mil has yet to be received and Chairman Kelvin Tan during Agm has said the sum will be reported when received later. So we all are still awaiting final payment

5. When this final sum is received then Tsh will morph into a Debt free net cash co

6. Tsh upon enquiry by Hl Research stated that their cost of Cpo production Rm2000 so current Cpo price above Rm3400 is still giving a good profit margin

7. From here we see Tsh no longer needs to pay high bank int

Plus it is still generating good profits

As such we can expect more consistent dividends ahead

Plus at 94.5 sen with Nav Rm1.44 Tsh is selling at more than 30% discount to Nta

It has high margin of safety
Reasonable earnings
Pay fairly good dividends
And sitting on gold mine lands in Nusantara

We can hold and sleep well nightly

Cry later?

Kulim was taken private at Rm4.10 (was Rm2.50)

Tmakmur taken private Rm1.90 (was Rm1.38)

Kwantas taken private Rm1.65 (from only 50 sen)

Ijmplant was Rm1.86 and Klk took it private at Rm3.10

all above got less than 150,000 acres palm oil and lands located at less promising lands

Bplant has a whopping 220,000 acres. Those in Peninsular are FREEHOLD

Many near Townships and Growth Zones

So? Hold long will Bplant remain so dirt cheap below Rm1.00???

In these times of recession coupled with rising interest rates many highly indebted cos might suddenly go insolvent and bank then delisted with total loss

so better not play the fool and go chase syndicated hot air balloon pump and dump stocks of little real value with impaired balance sheet or overvalued hyped up hot stocks which are too rich in valuation therefore expensive

Palm oil as a group are still cheap and safe with good dividend

so be safe than sorry

This was my conversation with a palm oil plantation owner recently

He said now Ffb prices are just below Rm600 a ton which is still profitable. However, he wished to see Ffb at Rm700 to Rm800 range will be more ideal

(even so this is much better than in year 2019 when Ffb was Rm350 and below )
in that light we now see higher prices for Ffb which is good

He also said last two years when Ffb crossed Rm1000 to Rm1200 he could make Rm1000 per acre which is fantastic

now after two years of very very high cash inflow many are having lots of extra savings accumulated in banks

For palm oil cos they have pared down debt and now sitting on Huge cash pile

Two positives now

1. With debt all paid even if Banks were to raise interest rate there is no fear. in fact raising interest rate will benefit palm oil cos with surplus cash in banks

2. Now that palm oil cos no longer need to service loans they have turned into Cash cows

on auto pilot these will now give out good to excellent dividends for many years more

So we can sleep soundly without fear of bankruptcy

plus if palm oil cos decide to sell some assets it will be extra cash windfall

That is why we stay safe and invested in palm oil

The only way i know so many have just given up on i3 forum due to spammers with incessant abusive hate speech full of distortion, lies and abuse
