well what is business sense?
some ppl have it, some just dun
look at all the cafes opening here n there. are all successful? duh..
look at the simplest hawker stalls everywhere...are all successful? double duh...
i think ...at the very least u need to either have it...or if not...learn some from successful ppl.
so what is it?
an inert intuition to take advantage of the present economics at hand to make money?
a good salesman with good speaking ability?
a good speaker to convince ppl?
coming from a business family n seeing other business ppl..some successful some failed..i see a vast combinations.
aggressive, thick skin, shrewd, cunning, smell the money, see an opportunity etc...see the future?
no right or wrong wor...
moral of the story....why argue so much about it? if u have it u will know...and if u dun have it....u will never understand why the other cafe has more ppl in it anyway...
i honestly think its only teachable..until up to a certain point for many ppl. some ppl are just born to be worker bees...this is the sad fact of life
good investing

well if the price is cheap enuf n if there is a margin of safety in the shares...why not
of course we have an added element here too. we can ride the upside wave when promotion is certain. then sell fast for fast profits.
i see no problem with using all information n advantages at hand to make money.
there really is no fav stocks in the markets. no attachments

and that is why again not many ppl makes money from the markets.
traders are into short term. they provide liquidity...buy n hold ppl just will not understand
u see ....the markets need both of these ppl, same like hedgers, shorties, market makers....lol
anyway all the best to all.
drb23 dropping back to 4.5c...hmm

i think u may need to hold onto drb for a long time(years) if you are looking at rm3, rm5 or rm10.
naturally all stocks with lots of assets eventually may go that high....
but can anyone hold that long a time i wonder.....
its really your choice and only u need to decide that yourselves...
but again can anyone really understood what i said ....now i wonder....lol

KC is FA based.

fact of the matter, when u engage a fund manager to manage your funds, there are a lot of Investment Policy Statements that needs to be clarified first. Namely, your risk criteria and your expected returns within a frame of time.
once agreed upon and signed, your funds are at the fund manager's perogative to invest in and according to the signed contractual policies.
When you invest 10mil with someone, i am sure you will go thru this contractual basis. if you dun, its definately foolhardy.
The fund manager will also encourage this contract to protect the client-manager relationship. the client may sue the company u know. lol
of course not all clients are happy with the fund manager's investment ways n they all like to meddle n influence the investment process one way or the other.
of course if the client does not feel the manager is performing to his standards, he can let the manager go. moral of the story is have they looked at the investment policy statements throughly first before giving the 10mil? i am pretty sure they do.
if your style is speculative n within a short term type of horizon, you should be looking at hedge fund managers with an active investment style....i believe kc's is a passive type which follows the FA.
in other words, choose your managers wisely before giving them a huge sum of money.
btw even best managers make mistakes and even the best intentioned clients likes to meddle in the affairs. lol
this is all too true.
