Folks this article from star clarifies how many 2p reserves emir oil fields have
http://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2016/04/07/reaching-out-to-shareholders/
Also based on their bursa announcement on 5 mar 2016 on the QA, its stated as of 1 jan 1016 1p reserves of 60% attributable to reach share is 12.5mil barrels of oil.
I seriously wonder where does the number 781,000 comes from. Is there AN article about it? Its only fair reporting ....

Thx kareem for the article.
This is the truth. Be warned

is it possible that when the warrants shoot down like this...this means that the markets are expecting the mother shares to go even lower?
2016-04-28 15:19 | Report Abuse
ck chan, you are actually very welcome to disagree with me. I am merely stating the obvious and from information based on facts n results seen up to now. If u dun believe its up to you too.
regardless of whether the share price stands at 66sen or rm1 you can sell or buy. Its your choice.
however, Reach will still need your votes to APPROVE their QA. its stated in SC laws. but of course if u want go to vote or not its your choice too.
I seriously do want the QA to pass n everybody makes money with a happy face to the bank. But of course there are some who totally just dun get it. I rest my case.
btw i own warrants NOT shares hence i will lose in warrants should the QA fail. I hope u know why warrants will lose should the QA fail.
please go n read n find out more about why sona cliq fail before saying that my strategies are not valid. i can admit that i can be wrong.
perhaps you can provide OTHER strategies for us all in here instead of just plainly saying i am wrong.
2016-04-28 14:08 | Report Abuse
i have used to think that all spacs listed in bursa are different cases.
however have we actually look at the shareholders who bought into them?
cliq sona reach these 3 all have the same shareholders in them. CS & pag
so i think its high time to realise that they might not be all that different.
different is HOW the management plan their strategies to ensure approval of the QA.
dun be so quick to cast aside that important info. this thinking could be naive in itself.
btw i own lots n lots of warrants. i stand to lose more if everybody votes no.
furthermore if the share price is above the cashback value of 77sen, i doubt there will be any dissenters.
i am only complaining as to why the strategies are not in play yet...assuming if they have any. i do not want the QA to fail. its definately in my interest n everyone else to see it thru.
however there are obstacles, and these must be dealt with.
there are already examples to be seen now. cliq n sona.
be forewarned is good, that way u can plan n succeed. not dream n fail big time

guys pls dun dream too much.
history is repeating all over again from spacs listed thruout the world.
heres an interesting writeup.

read the Hedge Fund Obstructionists section.
hence its true that history is repeating itself.
as long as majority shareholders are hedge funds/yield investors...dun dream too much. accept reality

yes.
its like history repeating all over again from spacs listed thruout the world.
heres an interesting writeup. never realised this but this is very true for hedge funds holding spacs shares. the threat is very real. hence we must be careful.

Now lets see about the share price

in the world of investing there is no right or wrong. just info to sift thru and to make the right choices from those info.
info is very important. we must always base our decision making skills on the LATEST info and not harbour any longing or emotions on our stocks.
this is the markets. if u are not nimble n smart n are emotional...then the markets WILL BE merciless.
good luck

speakup you are fully right on this one.
action really does speak louder than words. QA matters...but investors just dun care. $$$$ share price is what they wanna see.
we already have a solid answer from sona results shown n seen. there is no denying the facts.
if others still wish to see it their own way and not even consider the possibility of the hard truth then so be it.
let it be speakup.

lcwin your deductions are full of contradictions.
a very simple question.
Are yield investors interested in the QA? or the guaranteed yield of 13% as available now from the recent share price of 68sen?
2016-04-27 12:29 | Report Abuse
mr.tan
i have to agree with you on this one. there is NO MORE HOPE FOR SONA DY.
time to move on to other stocks.
callme77 is right that YOU NEED SHAREHOLDERS APPROVAL FOR QA BECOZ SC LAWS SAYS SO..
time to go and lick our wounds. buy others. i am looking at sumatec. at least it doesnt EXPIRE.
2016-04-27 12:17 | Report Abuse
ladyD,
simple matter of fact is from the rejection of sona's QA is 77%. this means from both major n minority shareholders alike overwhelmingly rejected the QA.
some major sh in reach may go for yield...77c/68c now = 13% yield!!! this is too tempting.
regardless an overwhelming majority went against sona's QA. this is really BAD!
so what can we learn from sona?
1) sona share price did not go above 48.5(cashback value) hence it is safer to buy low n get guaranteed return(plus interest) without the risks(becoz the money is in a trust fund)
2) the yield investors didnot sell out at the normal price becoz sona shares DID NOT go above cash value of 48.5 so they are stuck too. CS n pag are yield hungry( see that they keep on popping up in cliq/sona/reach) plus swiss central bank has a negative interest rate
3) 75% approval rate. this is actually the killer punch. no thx to the rules. so how? reach has to double their efforts to ensure ALL if not most retailers/major/minor shareholders are happy. but somehow i think they are only interested in major and major sh can actually screw them up like sona. minor becomes frustrated n hence like sona voted against.
4) i expected about 40-50plus % vote against in sona QA but not 77%. not so much majority. again what does this tells us? major n minor dun CARE about how good the QA is. sona QA is actually not bad. why still fail? lowest purchase price usd25mil. reach is not low yet. how to justify?
i think investors only care about what level their share price is. remember the markets knows things in advance...if your share price is low...means ppl HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN YOU!
5) is any insiders buying reach shares? sona insiders did not...what does this tell the ppl outside? sona management has NO confidence in their own company.
i suspect if reach plays the same game like sona...they will be rejected too. they can rely on tabung haji but how about the others? we just dun know.
like some investors in sona said ...best if the reach share price is ABOVE the cashback value. then yield investors can sell out n others come in. everybody likes a high share price.
look at hibiscus....their share price went thru the roof! and is their QA rejected????
be warned. follow sona then results may highly likely end up the same.
2016-04-26 16:02 | Report Abuse
as seen from cliq...once QA gone they have to liquidate. cant go against SC laws.
even if they can get something, the chances of approval is just too minimal 77% voted against!!!
sona is a dead duck dy. No thx to the tidak apa attitude n dun care about minority shareholder culture.
2016-04-26 15:29 | Report Abuse
wasted sigh...oh well not all investments are good.
2016-04-26 15:18 | Report Abuse
To the management of REACH,
its a waste for sona but let this be a really important lesson n learning point for all spacs
simple matter of fact is the 75% approval rate. means you are controlled by the majority shareholders. if u failed to entice them then its a goner.
shareholders just do not care about long term prospects, long term profits...they just want their share price to be high enuf said.
if the culture of not giving shit to the minority shareholders continue .....then beware like sona results
2016-04-26 14:02 | Report Abuse
Sona has failed. I wonder how will reach react to this now?

it maybe too late now to get a good price for warrants.
if you cant take the idea of losing money....sell all n cut loss
if you still can gamble with some money...sell some at least get back some cash n not lose all should things go south
if u have super balls of steel n not afraid if losing all...keep
i am keeping some to gamble.

update on CS & PAG & LTH
CS is buying reach shares on behalf of PAG
pag is the beneficiary while cs is the direct shareholder. cs can vote. pag cannot vote. But PAG is the true owner so pag is assume to be calling the whole shots
PAG total = 5.73%
reach energy holdings (20%) cannot vote.
hence left 80% to vote.
pag holdings = 5.73/80 = 7.16% (below the 25% deciding factor)
lembaga tabung haji = 5.219%
5.219/80 = 6.5%
pag buys...LTH follows...this is good

this midf report i believe came out too slow. should have come out last week.
however there are compelling arguements to the share price.
BUT....the markets seems to be tidak apa on this stock.
nothing can be done except wait for the QA result

aha finally a proper dcf valuation of stag from midf. i knew its not so simple as to just put in a figure of 0.38/share after QA.
good to know. btw mr.tan i thought u are voting no and going for the guaranteed yield?
but thx for the midf info tho

I think the management are caught in a very unusual situation whereby normally ....the minority shareholders are normally not important in a listed company haha.
This is not unusual with our local coporate governance culture. So my guess is they do know how to react.
They shld know...the management IS the face of the co. No show face no action taken there goes the companys reputation.
Its really not easy being a ceo in a public listed co. But this is life.
2016-04-20 11:28 | Report Abuse
I think many factors have come into play here. But looking at the recent plans strategies. I believe its really a 50 50 chance now.
The plan to entice the big shareholders maybe good. But the recent share price is not giving any confidence.
I also dunno already. 50 50 ppl. All the best

mr.tan
with the markets, everyone can talk about heaven n earth n back to hell with so many factors influencing the markets.
and you are just being deliberate on just 1 particular subject.
this is of course entirely your opinion but please also be impartial n fair because surely the probability of the share being on the upside is also possible after approval of the QA?
your human emotions is just ONE factor but its NOT the only factor. there are also those who are not easily emotional and are opportunistic.
anything can happen. cheers
2016-04-19 16:15 | Report Abuse
well buying the shares may not get you a vote ...but still entitled to the 8sen cashback...assuming pass QA.
2016-04-19 16:09 | Report Abuse
no wonder the shares are quite quiet for a while now
2016-04-18 18:47 | Report Abuse
Ah now that is a good explanation. I have learnt somthing new today.
Thx mr.tan
Btw what do u recommend?
2016-04-18 17:13 | Report Abuse
mr.tan
so i guess there are really 2 choices now:
1) vote no and get back 48.5sens 9% yield(guaranteed!!)
2) vote yes and assuming buy now at 44.5 and get back 8sens from capital repayment...NOT yield but STILL CASH of 18%
I still CANT see the logic in going for option 1.
honestly with option 2, u still have a chance.
with 8sens cashback with reduced shareholders equity(share price drops to 37sens) there are always chances of share price rising from 37sens. this is not guaranteed however. at least u still OWN the share n may get dividends in the future. dun like then sell lo.
thats why in investing all are subjective. i honestly doubt many investors care WHERE their cashback comes from. cash is cash. you receive it. that is good. There are also companies borrowing to give dividends....how do u relate to that? petronas dip into their shareholders equity to pay extra to our Government becoz their earnings are not enuf. how?
until of course shit happens
2016-04-18 15:06 | Report Abuse
so then you guys vote no lo...simple ma....
those wanna vote yes vote yes lo....

70k to trade is honestly not a lot. tho it is still money and also can make you money.
i invest much more than that a few hundred k...but i dun trade short term only do long term. few hundred k is also not a lot. i know some trade in at least a mil. lol
my advice is to listen n read lots of info if u want to be a successful trader...especially TA. traders like TA can go in fast n out
