I hope IB's , SC and Bursa could do better in market making activities by allowing glove counters to rise. For instance the average target price for Top Glove from all the analyst is about RM 8
plus, If Top Glove price is allowed to rise without so called market intervention by our market maker using their short selling tool to RM 7.70 level it would benefit our Malaysian company Top Glove could be listed in HK at 15 HK dollars instead or the current 10 HK dollars. There is bigger money to be made with HK listing and I truly believe much more money the current short selling exercise. Since there is no much warrant that is the money I hope the local IB's could cut some slack and help to support the glove counters. It is the Malaysian's that is going to benefit.

IB's are bored playing with themselves now attracting new retailers to play with them. Hope fence sitter don't get trapped. if you are positive long term investor it is your call.

Watch out for warrant expiry C30 22nd March , C34 31st March and C37 19th March

Thanks Ben for the article. RHB and maybank are quite realistic based on my own assumption and calculation in terms of profitability. The performance may be better for Top Glove post 2022 if the HK listing materilise and they could increase capacity or growth thru M&A.

Tan Sri would be buying more and more after dividend. However he can buy only max 2% every 6 months. Counters like Top Glove and Maybank is worth to top up monthly once if going to invest long term. The show for Top Glove only starts June/July. The next 3 months going to quiet unless IB does their RSS/PSS.

IB's may switch to a new game plan now. All seem to be quiet.

It was a good performance by Top Glove. I am confident Supermax also going to improve performance from last qtr. This makes the glove counter more valuable to market makers/IB. That is why they have a very tight grip on the price movement of glove shares. It is really quite impossible to break their grip in the near term. I see the value of the counter but the IB's paint it otherwise, You really cannot beat them as they make money both ways. They would go nuts if there is no volume in the counter.

Thank Ben for the article. My two cents thought on this is Local institutions /IB are using "PSS" ie "Permitted Short Selling" to do this which was not banned all along even during the First MCO. This is a so call tool given to IB's by our SC to promote market making activities allowing them to short sell up to 10% of the issued securities and these data of the volume of shares short sold are only known to SC because I am unable to find it anywhere. These may co-relate to the structured warrants issued by the IB's. Hence the IB's would have in total at least 14% of the issued capital to short sell provided there can find the lenders.

Thanks for article Ben. In my opinion the market has been pressed by the market makers either by RSS or Permitted Short Selling. IF it going to move up than the market makers must make it happen. I think they in Gloves big time. My guess is they would push it up again.

All the more EPF would acquire due to HK listing as the compliance gets better and with ESG issue being addressed by TG. I am very confident EPF would add on more . This is the best time for IB to collect as well and place out to institutional investors at the right time.

Just to add on by the time of HK listing assuming it is at 5.22. You would have earned at least 46 to 52 sen dividend by then which is 2nd Qtr ending today and 3rd Qtr ending 31st May 2021 which is equivalent to 8 to10% returns for 6 months. Which ever way you look at it a continuous dividend paying company is worth to invest for long term.

Top Glove is so far the best company that I have got return from apart from Maybank ,Magnum and VSI. Tan Sri Lim Wee Chai is one of the best captain of the industry and company who is forward looking and delivers excellent result. They are always something new and progress in the company. I am with Top Glove until it reaches fortune 500 status. The Hong Kong Listing is one more milestone. I believe Tan Sri can bring Top Glove to Fortune 500 status by 2030, Better still if he can achieve by 2028.

I am in the opinion the big boys/market makers/IB in Malaysia are really smart but the only think is they take advantage of the retailers big time which is very unethical. They are playing up recovery and tech stocks for the trading gain and collecting the glove counters very cheaply by their own doing to earn the dividends. The time for glove counter will come eventually.

They win both ways.

I have this strong prediction that EPF is going yo increase its stake in Top Glove to above 7% and by that time if there is no more negative news on ESG the price of Top Glove will be way above RM 8. When HK listing happens another leap in the price will be in the making. EPF would have a new boss on March 1st. I am pretty sure TG would in his radar as he has to show growth performance, I am not sure of his apetite for Top Glove but this guy given the free hand I mean without political interference can bring back EPF dividend pay out well above 7%.

Goldberg I agree with you 100%. Thats why IB's and market makers have taken a very significant position in all glove counters. The movement upside/downside or all determined by these powerful players. Even today they can choose to close both Supermax and Top Glove at RM 6.20. They :would gradually move on when they find other counters that begin to entice them. I don't foresee they moving on to other counters or industry at least untill August 2021.

You are absolutely correct. Furthermore the with increase in consumption the minimum stock pile of gloves for each country or even every medical institution will be on a uptrend.

People invested in Tesla and stay invested in Tesla because they believe in Elon Musk and what Tesla intends to archive and the achievement is progressing so is the stock price. As for Top Glove I have invested ,added more and staying invested for some years to come as I am confident of Tan Sri Lim Wee Chai and Top Glove ultimate plan to be fortune 500 company. Very happy and satisfied with Top Glove , minor setbacks towards the end of last year noting detrimental and you have to give a hands up to the management's reliable and swift action on the problems in hand plus effective counter measures against the IB's without integrity ESG was an issue but cannot be a forever issue. Unlike Tesla with Top Glove you can enjoy the dividends, now even better quarterly and this year bumper +20% over and above the 50%.
