Lack of momentum despite the volume. To me, it needs to break at least 27 cents

Yes, yes. Hopefully, the negative view will go off.
See back to 23.5 now

Hooi, probably you know as well right. Previously, i told you before. There is a gatekeeper that will not let the price go up

ymtan - have u invested in Scomi before? U will see the same trend over and over again. Just ask those Scomi's old timers

FKLI 13 - Underwriters only come into pic not during the excess application. They come into pic if only there are rights shares not subscribe after excess plus rights applications. Honestly, CIMB as the managing underwriter can absorbs all if they want to as the fund-raising amount not big. But they spread to another 2 underwriters as they reckoned is risky.
Management not yet prove their ability yet as far as for AAX. So i treat this as short term stock and so i advise you to do so. Do not idolised them as i think the person is lack of brain to do their own judgement without past record of success. Finally, i'm going big on this OR as i think is good for short term till i see the visibility that management is doing something for AAX which i do not think they did

Amazing ... Where those people here that keep asking to buy AAX before rights issue. Now they seem to be so so quiet... Lots of self-created so-call guru will be here and talking like Warrent Buffet & Charlie Munger but when it dropped, these people gone like a wind

Hi Adcool - But naturally, for airlines they should generate high operating cashflow and hence, i do not think they should rely on the small fund-raising like this. If you notice that most of the airlines have super-high gearing but as long as they can generate enough operating cash flow, then no issue on their going concern ability. Let this idi_ts (i.e. TF and Kamaruddin) do their job first and then we can judge whether they are idi_ts or smart person.

Hi Ivan2222 - Your assumptions hardly will stay. Even if AAX was badly managed company in the past and key managements that interested in their personal interests and not the Company, but i think won't let AAX to drown. I think short to mid term after listing of rights will stay at RM0.30.

To me, i got more visibility now that the bottom is approaching but definitely the coming quarterly results will be a good indicator. I will take my bet & go in as i previously did for MAS. To me AAX even though is badly managed company but i do not think that TF and Kamaruddin will let their reputation to go down to drain. Failure of AAX then the reputation of them will be ruined.

For those against me, please treat it as a lesson. Lesson to investing in AAX :p

Lol, correct. I keep on telling those supporters that the best time to buy is when the rights start trading. So cheap now. Congrats to those that get it cheap

Many shares to buy; AWC, Ge-Shen etc. But as far as for "gambling" stock this is worth buying

Lol. I will buy the rights in the market & subscribe. My lottery ticket & chances to gain is higher 50:50

Lol. Damn interesting next Monday. I'm coming in now AAX.
I won't be optimistic but at this low price is worth to take a risk.
OCPD, let us Huat together

Value trap counter. Fundamental & TA obviously is not working for Scomi.

No worries. Investment is my passion and profits will give me an instant gratification. Hence, i do think all these searches will give me consistent return & avoid making bad decision. Let us together make it big for AAX. TF please work harder AAX and prove us wrong.

If things are so simple with jet fuel & forex as the main factors on bottomline, i wouldn't scratch my head to impute the valuation on AAX. Many factors more. Anyway, i will only buy AAX during the OR listing. And my holding period will be less than 1 year unless i see some visibility that the prospects change

Hi Tonywong8, let me explain again to you:-
To me profitable should be their core objective as a listed co esp. if the shareholders are paying ridiculous valuation for their IPO shares. They are good in marketing their shares but at the same time, they should also manage the expectations of their shareholders. If not why you want to be a public company at first place unless is a pure exit option for them.
Also, i at first place I never said they can't be profitable but it will be tough due to current competitive environment (i.e. 22 LCCs operating in SIA). But i'm firm believer with some tweaks to their existing operations/expansion pipelines, inter-alia, buying lesser planes, cutting those unprofitable route, increasing their other income and considering increasing their fares, they can be profitable. They cannot afford to make loss anymore unlike Scoot, which is started by cash rich SIA (with cash pile of approx. SGD5 billion). Cash is depleting...
I'm curios why the supporters (probably TF's PR ppl here) saying that if TF can makes Air Asia a success they can "for sure" make AAX a success. You cannot emulate the same for AAX as they are in different playing field. Is a "long-haul low-cost airline". Please do not make comparison on different markets. TF definitely not yet proven to the shareholders that he can make AAX successful, so he definitely need to work extra hard for that.
2015-05-08 19:30 | Report Abuse
Obviously, you do not understand this counter or no-frill airlines industry. If my other income will supersede my revenue from air tickets, i wouldn't set-up an airline at all. Is way too risky. Hence, if you do not understand, please try to understand what Tan KW is trying to emphasis. Listen, listen, understand is a process to become a better investor.
I do not think due to current environment (22 low-cost airlines in South-East Asia & only few that are profitable), TF can emulates the same success like what he did for Air Asia on AAX. Be realistic.

FKLI13 - Positive ROI? For who. For those that buying now at RM0.40 or those at IPO price RM1.25?
Lol, if know how they market their IPO, you would not even touch them at all.

Those expansion growth will not drive the price anymore. At least not for AAX. For Hovid, Latitude, Hevea, Heng Huat yes and will drive the price.
For AAX, they just need to show bottomline results to their investors. Upon completion of rights issue, the balance sheet will strengthen but if you are still loss-making, it will eat up the shareholders' equity and ultimately, increase the risk of PN17 status.
2015-05-07 16:18 | Report Abuse
The only impetus for AAX for the next few years is their bottomline results. The rest are waste of time. Positive operating profit... breakeven.. and start to be profitable.

Exercise the OR into new shares in AAX
2015-05-06 19:18 | Report Abuse
Right. Right decision. I think when the rights start trading, preferable to monitor yourself.
2015-05-06 18:57 | Report Abuse
Bullshit - But if you dun want to exercise the rights issue, is better to sell the OR on 15 May. Do not let it lapsed as the OR is valuable.
2015-05-06 18:50 | Report Abuse
Yes, correct. Basically, OR is a form of option. You can sell or let it lapsed. All depends on you. Either way, you no need to fork out extra money to subscribe but it will cause a dilution to you existing AAX share price
2015-05-06 18:41 | Report Abuse
Yes, Silv3ster. Correct calculation.
If u hold 10,000 AAX now, u will entitled to subscribe 7,500 rights shares (plus 3,750 free warrants) at RM0.22. Do not worry about exercising the rights as there are plenty of time to exercise later on.
Cannot calculate the price of OR on 15 May now as it still 1 week to go before the ex date
2015-05-06 18:10 | Report Abuse
Precisely... But say, even you sell or do nothing on your AAX shares on 13 May (ex-cum rights) u still got the OR on 15 May....
2015-05-06 18:06 | Report Abuse
Cum rights basically means that "the OR attached to the shares"
2015-05-06 18:04 | Report Abuse
Cum rights date - meaning that you are still entitled to receive the OR as long as u buy (or do not sell) before the ex-cum rights date (i.e. 13 May 2015).

OCPD - i'm a pure fundamentalist but i appreciate technical analysis to maximize my ROI. You may not appreciate what i'm saying but one day u will. Believe me. In the meantime, happy investing
2015-05-06 17:21 | Report Abuse
Hi tvz32 - You can buy in the market on 15 May 2015. 13 May 2015, AAX will turn ex-cum rights.
2015-05-06 16:40 | Report Abuse
If you hold AAX, do not sell 1st.
But for those existing AAX shareholders, you can average down by buying ordinary rights ("OR") and apply for excess applications. But i would not buy now. Probably, this time around they can turnaround and finally those shareholders can recoup some of their losses.
2015-05-06 16:29 | Report Abuse
Rule 1 in investing - "Focus on how not to lose money". If you know that is so obvious that the shares is dropping/falling/sinking like a stone, do not entice people to buy 1st.
To me, i like making money & i hope others will also. So do not let others to catch a falling knife (by over promoting) cause it may reflects back to you.

OCPD - Not that i want to criticise you but you sound like an amateur cause the way you answer my criticism.
Trust me. i have met lots of good investors/traders (short, medium and long terms investment duration) and talking bullshit here will kill those retail investors as some of those promoters here. Just check from previous posts from those promoters.
I believe AAX have good turnaround plan. But for me, timing is crucial. Wait till the OR listed then only take action. Buy and subscribe as much as you can if you believe its fundamental.

Hahaa. I guess TomyamGong saying this cause he is jealous that we have too much "surplus/disposable" money to put in the dead counter. What we good at is to revive a dead counter into a gem. Same like Insas (when it is RM0.40), Takaful (when it was RM2.00) .... All this were dead counters previously.
