AAX IPO basically is a conman IPO. I remember meeting a banker and he told me that the demand to place out to institutional investors was bad and hence, they go for the retail investors (those Air Asia's passengers, retail investors via public balloting). Imagine as a founder of AAX, Tony Fernandez went to each stock-broking firm to promote AAX. If demand was good, i do not think he would do that.

And also, this is also offer for sale. Normally, for AAX which is capital extensive should raise fund via IPO and not offer for sale. And also, all the promises by Azran Osman on when to be profitable and when to break-even all not fulfilled. Is purely a sweet promise by the senior management of AAX .

Maybe AAX shareholders should highlight this to the board of directors during the AGM. This may not work but at least will create some awareness to them.

Based on Fri fake uptrend of RM0.12 to sell, seem like Monday will drop to approx. RM0.50. Let see how it goes.

Seem like those research analysts going to downgrade this stock soon as the results get worse and going forward will be bad too due to one off expenses. At current price, not to buy. Currently, Salamander is trading at 57.5 pence & this means equivalent to GBP145 mill
Sona 40% for Bualuang assets is USD281.2 mill and that equivalent to GBP180 mill.

Hence, Sona now can buy the whole Salamander at GBP180 mill.
And as the purchase consideration is in USD, probably they already hedged their USD at RM3.20 - 3.25.. and at cuŕrent price of USD at 3.50, they gain 8 to 10%.

Sona is not buying 40% now. They are negotiating to buy 100% of Bualuang assets

The moratorium bars the key management from selling any of their shares in Sona Petroleum until the company generates one year of audited revenue from the commercial production of its qualifying asset. This the strictest so far among Malaysia’s special purpose acquisition companies (SPAC).

At least this will drive the key management to get the business to acquire soonest possible

If oil prices keep going down after OPEC's indecisive decision, those Salamander's shareholders will cry out loud.

Ophir's shareholders will cry too. And both companies' shareholders will curse the board of directors of both companies for destroying the shareholders' value.

And Sona now is different shape. They are not an O&G company yet and hence they can get a similar assets at cheaper price. Is a blessing in disguise for Sona actually and their share price will rebound to RM0.50 and thereon higher due to rumours of potential QA (like Indonesia & Thai's assets). Remember, Sona went up to above RM0.60 due to rumours.

In respect of any decision, is a win-win situation. If they managed to get it, is a good assets and if not they can get similiar assets at cheaper price.

Yes, but they have secured billion RM contract before oil price collapsed. The less business will only impact on future contracts to be secured. If u see, when Scomies went up they stagnant but once Scomies went down they performed worse.

That is why no one can understand Scomi since beginning. If u see this forum, in the past all the so-call "Scomi Gurus" had left. All the so-call "insider info" ppl had left and all the optimistic ppl all left.... But at this price, i do not think we need to understand Scomi. Just buy and put into refrigerator till 2015
