Perhaps people often forget their investment horizon.
For FA based investments, the investment horizons are almost always 10 years or above, or probably forever.
The key decisions are always either:
1) to cash in at target price X to obtain profit Y during the investment horizon
2) to cash out at target price Z upon obtaining profit Y at much earlier stage during the invement horizon
Valuation methods are nothing more than to meet our personal expectation.
If you can buy something at your expected price after whatever valuation method, then buy it.
If you can sell something that you have bought earlier at your expected price after whatever valuation method, then should you SELL it for ANOTHER BETTER BUY?
The point is, what are the better buys you can get after selling the current holdings? Or have you had it enough?

Calvin, if you didn't post your updated comment of 21/2/2016 in the article, you will receive a good number of commendations from i3 members.
Once you posted it, guess you will receive a good number of bashes and ridicules from i3 members.

Well, it should be all depends.
Let's start with "if".
"If" you bought a company named instacom from 2 years ago and hold until now, you would have gotten a big trouble.
"If" you bought a company named ifcamsc from few weeks ago and hold until now, you would have gotten a big lottery.
But it's all just "IF".

Hi KC, maybe you could share a few more articles on cyclical stocks, such as electronic & semi conductor.
For a few cyclical stocks that were priced more than RM10 in the past such as Unisem and MPI, it is worthwhile to study if they could again reach or surpass their peak price in the past, giving that the major shareholders remain same and not much change in term of management style.
The cyclical stocks though extremely volatile in terms of price and financial performance, yet once grab the right chance/wave/theme, the return of these stocks are 10x faster than the dividend stocks.

Ways to get other people's money in a business
1. Bank loan -> bank is the boss
2. Rights/Warrants -> current bosses have choice to maintain status
3. Private placement -> outsiders are the new bosses, but why not current bosses?
4. Treasury shares -> company sure is very strategy thinking

If you feel we do not run this company professionally enough, we suggest you not to invest in this company.

A simple answer to the full length letter.
Our job is to run and manage the company professionally, not control share price.
Full stop.

Just little comment, that probably Cold Eye wont care much of price fluctuation. Just feel nonsense to argue on the reference price and whether Cold Eye is making loss.
The dividends that Cold Eye earns now is more than sufficient for the rest of his life giving the amount of shares he is currently holding.
Somewhere i read long time ago, that price fluctuation in short term is just a voting machine. But if the investor is for long term value investing with quality portfolio, why bother so much on the price fluctuation?

ttmmww, currently each ibhd-lb price* is 0.50.
To convert into one ordinary share, 0.68 of price* equivalent is required, therefore 1.36 ibhd-lb will be able to convert to one ordinary share. (0.50 X 1.36 = 0.68)
*The price is the given value, not the price of open market.
To make it easy, forget the 0.68 conversion price.
Just divide all your shares by 1.36 for the amount of conversion.
ttmmww, for your case of 10000 ibhd-lb, you will get:
10000 / 1.36 = 7352.94 unit of ordinary share
Not sure how they will do with the odd lot units.

Mistake on my previous calculation.
Old: (assumption based on listing of OR and Warrant not entitled for bonus)
1. Existing share - 230m
2. After 1:5 bonus - 46m
3. OR - max 286m
4. Warrant - max 57m
5. ICUL 289m unit, after conversion - max 212m
Total shares after OFS & rights & warrants & bonus - around 830m shares.
New: (assumption based on listing of OR and Warrant entitled for bonus)
1. Existing share - 230m
2. OR - max 286m
3. After 1:5 bonus - 103m
4. Warrant - max 68.7m
Total shares after rights & warrants & bonus less ICUL - 687m shares.
5. ICUL 289m unit, after conversion to ordinary share - max 212m
Total shares after rights & warrants & bonus & all ICUL conversion - 900m shares.
Another coming 600m shares to achieve 1.5b shares target.

The conversion price of the ICULS is RM0.68 for each new I-Berhad Share and will be subject to adjustments in certain circumstances in accordance with the ICULS Trust Deed dated 27 August 2014.
The ICULS is convertible into new I-Berhad Shares on any market day from the Issue Date up to and including the Maturity Date. The conversion of the ICULS will not require any cash payment by the ICULS holder. The conversion price will be satisfied by surrendering for cancellation the ICULS with an aggregate nominal value equivalent to the conversion price of RM0.68 for each I-Berhad Share. Any fractional new shares arising from the conversion of the ICULS shall be disregarded.
This announcement is dated 13 October 2014.

It clearly states that conversion does not need any cash. You can convert the icul to ordinary share anytime.

There should be no conversion price, no cash top up needed. The conversion ratio is 1.36 unit of LB for 1 unit of ordinary share.

Doubt if there will be any better price than the ICUL's 68sen or OR's 69sen, unless there is a super bear or company facing crisis. I would think the nearer to 69sen the better it is.

JimmyV, just ignore it. From the history of conversation, you know how bravoUp made allegations towards others, such as previously tjh, then now your turn. So just let it be. We are just little self sustainable investor or trader.

Dear bravoUp, why don't we just focus on work and wait for announcement? It's only 3 weeks from now, then at that time we know the take up percentage of ICUL, then we can conclude instead of doing it now. Whether listed or not doesn't affect much if all are to be converted to mother shares.

bravoUp, you are too concerned about others that I started to get "concerned" about you.
Sorry to say, that blind traders will always be blind no matter what advice or knowledge given to them, simply because of mindset problem. Why would traders read the prospectus before they trade? Simply because they don't know what all these LR, OR, etc mean, and simply because they know price, buy, sell only.

Lucky or unlucky to traders of LR and OR, an errata comes out yesterday. Last trading date of both LR and OR amended from Tuesday to Monday only.

The numbers I get from prospectus too. The bonus will not cover the LR, OR and Warrant as stated in prospectus, and I believe the 1.5b shares will only happen after RCUL-A and RCUL-B.
2014-09-20 09:48 | Report Abuse
bravoUp, I really doubt my mathematics skill to get 1.5b shares.
1. Existing share - 230m
2. After 1:5 bonus - 46m
3. OR - max 286m
4. Warrant - max 57m
5. ICUL 289m unit, after conversion - max 212m
Total shares after OFS & rights & warrants & bonus - around 830m shares.
Of course, RCUL-A and RCUL-B and further exercises are yet to know. And therefore after RCULS, the mother shares will become more than 1.5b, maybe up to 2.0b?
2014-09-19 12:49 | Report Abuse
Tjh, I have no more money to buy LR and convert them to mother share, unless I sell mother and buy LR. To minimize costs, to me, the reasonable price to buy LR is 0.005, which is to keep the cost of each share to as near as 0.68. Everyone is greedy and calculative including me.
2014-09-19 11:48 | Report Abuse
tjhldg, it only worth to sell mother share and buy LR if the price of mother share is 1.20 above and LR as low as possible, else the risk is big to let go of mother share.
2014-09-19 10:44 | Report Abuse
First post here.
I am existing shareholders and plan to convert LR and OR to ordinary shares. For existing shareholders, it is a good chance to buy at low price, even though can just dump all for quick profit as mentioned by others.
