Also, TGuan's operation in China is facing increasing cost pressure. Against this backdrop, ability to sustain profit is an indication that their turnaround plan is working. What pleases me most is the improvement in balance sheets. The group's US Dollar loans had been reduced from RM65 mil to RM33 mil, a reduction of RM32 mil.
The paring down of this particular loan is very important. Over the past two quarters, Thong Guan had been reporting dismal profit exactly because of the forex losses associated with this loan.Thong Guan incurs depreciation charges of closed to RM20 mil per annum. With net profit of let's say RM30 mil, zero capex requirement (RM100 mil has already been spent), and minimal debt servicing obligations, the group could potentially generate free cash flow of RM40 mil to RM50 mil per annum.

Theoretically, all these free cash are available for distribution to shareholders as regular dividend. Based on existing market cap of RM300 mil, can the company reward shareholders with more than 10% dividend yield ?

cindy_gal, I buy a lot of YOCB at 0.88. YOCB has a strong balance sheet and has much lower PE than Apollo, before Apollo 1st quarter results out. But now look like Apollo is also has a good 1st quarter JULY 31st 2015 results. Anyhow I will still keep YOCB while monitoring the share price movement of Apollo. I had jumped in and bought Apollo at 4.65 (sold at 4.48 previously) but only 2000 shares just in case the price shoot up.

Without including ESSB, Hiap Teck share price should be above 0.50. Since ESSB is private limited (Sendirian Berhad), it can be easily dispose off. So buy now and keep in the drawer. 1 year later you will see your money double.

With EPS of 11.66 sen per share, the share at 0.85 sen is consider very cheap. The PE is about 7.29. Keep for long term as investment, if the earning continue to be at this level, the share price should shut up one day when they have too much cash in hand.

Remember what KC write in "When Bear Stampedes Again", : "It’s better to be too early than too late. It has been proven again and again, if you buy stocks at a big margin of safety, there is little risk and eventually market will revert to its mean. But make damn sure that you buy good companies at big discounts." Is it too early now or wait for a little while? I think is better too wait a little while until market is more stable. I sold at 4.48 to buy other counter because some counter has dropped a lot and Apollo I only lose brokerage fee. So I think is time for me to shift to those with high earning share with low PE and high dividend yield.
