agreed many know the mantra but to see it actually working on the counter you hold will really open your eyes to the next level. For me the greatest enemies to overcome are conviction, will power, and patience. At times I also tempted - to the point actually do it - to follow the masses, the noise, influence by news - but thankfully I returned back. Just like faith to a religion, hope it grows on me to fight off all those temptations.

I don't bother all the noises. You can check my posting history, loyal to one counter since April. Does it work for me, yes. Can I sleep at night, yes. I am not maximizing my capital, maybe, but the return is sufficient. If I put 300k, is equivalent to 5 figures monthly salary. Yes, sound too good to be true, and too easy. Yes, is not that simple to actually achieve it. But number don't lie and I plan to see next year April what is my actual result for 1 year.

Good to know and keep abreast with all the developments, news, etc of the counters you hold so that you can react to it when needed. You have the conviction, will power and the patience? If so, numbers don't lie like I have pointed for AA. Don't easily distracted with 'noises'.

Actually if you bother to see AA monthly charting you can see very clearly from average RM1.35 from January 2016 it has climb NON-STOP on a monthly basis till current at RM2.85 now.
That is over 110% increase since last 6 months!!!

Means you have more than doubled up your capital if you hold since January...just hold. So why ppl so depress when down few sen? 30 sen drop also no eyes see. Okay you did not hold since January you said. Okay we take closing at at 30 April is RM1.90. You bought in May say at RM2.00. Is over 42.% increase in 2 months. Drop, consolidate, sideways, distribution whatever you want to name, it will it drop to RM2.00? Ok, I set stop loss at RM2.65...cantek? I can sleep every night right? Thank you.

Our local 1MDB saga, IS threat, plan street protest, couple with coming BOJ and Dow key financials data release affecting the international market front. All these not so favorable to market sentiments.

On the bright side, not just AA only. Majority of counters also not performing....a of red....only those selected counters where their 'white knight' already out to the rescue is moving against the index.

All the best on your new life plans. Change is good. Move from the status-quo or otherwise you will not know what is awaiting for you at the other side. Good to plans for future, good to have dreams, visions, and aspirations. But cannot just harp on the future without solid executable plan to achieve your end result. Also what is the time line for your so called future big crash event expected to take place? In 6 months, 1 year, 2 years? What is the chances of it to happen? 65%? 75%? 85% chance to happen within 1 year? What is the percentage of expected profitability? 100% capital gain after 6 months of bottoming out of the crash? 200% after 1 year? What is your confidence level to know what level is bottoming out? Yes, the rewards can be tremendous IF you can 'catch' or guesstimate all that with accuracy say 80% or above. Otherwise a small bull market trend with intermittent minor corrections instead of world mkt crash is a very profitable already.

Wants to be different, contrarian to the masses, to stand out in the crowd, to create fear, or to create options of alternate investment strategy for those who seek to be different for the sake just to be different but may not be viable?

Preach that to this fellow, he gave his expert financial opinion (not upsr drop out mind you) why AA will not work in super details. Way way beyond sour grape......more like personal vendetta against AA....

Aiya why so gabra n superstitious. From before 1Q16 result till now almost 40% gain already. Steady la a bit. Every time AA major down I sing que sera sera, whatever will be, will be....so many times times already if you check. But never give up for long term...drop another 10-12% then I will sing another tune...so far still no need to change tune, I am expecting the white knight to come galloping with its shinny armor soon.

Yesterday ppl jinx the AA up trend wave sending bad vibes and aura.........just chui sui only, don't get mad. Good sharing indeed. I think airline stocks are showing resilience here because it fell significantly for Brexit but past weeks bounce back significantly also. So is showing quite a resilience trend currently. The below link has a graph to show this with all the major airlines in UK as well. But it also has mix look on further future outlook on the industry. On the fip side it said "Traditionally, low-cost carriers usually win the day when demand is soft”....maybe relevant for AirAsia also.

For US airlines, they see the same upbeat trend according to experts opinion for the industry but also they think likely for longer term investment as they expect to see more actual changes in 2017.
