Hollandking, for future refining margin i have stated clearly it shows good figure in cme data. For tax what is the big deal every company has to pay. HY should be able to claim reinvestment tax allowance with the upgrade. For shut down to upgrade, u may take 3/4 of 2017 profit. So.... if the number is still good then u buy/ hold. Otherwise sell.

what makes some of you here so sure 2018 is not going to be good for refineries? from CME data, we can see it was good up to end Jan 2018 and futures data suggest margin is still good for coming few months.

For people who is so good in predicting the commodities futures, he/she can make tons of money from futures trading not making comment in i3.

What is the big deal if KYY has abandoned ship? he abandoned VS long ago, please check the price movement after he sold his VS share. If you read his words carefully and if he is telling the truth, he thinks HY is a "classic case of share oversold" and "may buy back if trend reverse". Buy back from who and at what price?

For those of think refining margin will be bad you may sell and quit, don't need to argue. For those who believe in HY potential and future refining margin say 6-12 months, you may hold on. Imagine if refining margin proven to be good in coming days/weeks or months, and the big player trying to buy back, what will happen?
