Yeah, usually right after the dividend will drop 0.13 or more based on the last 6 years' history.

If you can see and guess the pattern then buy when they down 4 cents an wait they up 3 cents then sell lor..... This way you can have some small pocket money every week or so ;-)

I think the currency up and down quite normal. There are tons of reason why.... Anyway currency also people trading.

Ringgit strengthening is one of the many factor can slow or drag the TG share price. But do remember other factor are still good for this counter.

Can buy more if opportunity allow. I believe now is consolidate stage.

I did get the letter..... It did not mean much..... every year we get the same thing and ask for permission to do that. But there are some meaning there of course, when the economy is bad or they feel like people throw the share and cause the share price lower than what it suppose to be they the company have intention to buy back the share in the market. When they market recover and Q result are good people will come back and buy the stock at higher price. This way Padini can sell back to them haha.

Many company also doing that not only Padini though. So not so surprise and excite about that.

May be other can better elaborate on the share buy back to the newbies.

LOL.... I will go for Alliance as no confidence in CIMB report and analyst. From past experience quite bad in term of their sharing thus far. Just my personal opinion. Other may think differently.

Guy, even oil price up and with all the goodthe news and deal. The stock price will mov up and down. Just need to be patient. If you trust the counter and their business. I foresee it will move to 1.8x then consolidate there for a while before move again.

Anyway still need to check what the reason of stock price move. Could be some news coming or anything that may cause the share worth more than certain amount. Let monitor for next couple of days and see any news announce.

Agree with @mamatede. If you don't have place to park your money yet. Padini not a bad place to park the money and get the dividend. At this price the rate still slightly higher then FD. Bear in mind that the bank rate will be drop or adjust soon. Sorry I can't recall where I read that.

Good counter to park out money for both dividend and capital growth!!!

I think the correction is good and it need to happen early then later. For the very short term trading definitely they will sell especially T3 T4. They are here to make quick money. The earlier they sell and go away the better. But all this out of our control. We just do what we can control.

For long term invest and not desperate on using the hard earn save money. This counter is one of the good choice. It will take some time to get to what the deserve price.

Don't understand when someone mention the average is 14. If you bought that before the split shouldn't you get more lots and the average should not be still 14 right?

Now dividend declared - 2.5 cents and the result is very good and exceed expectation. Then say miss the boat hehe....

Alright whatever the case as long as you happy and make some small money then congrats. But this counter really for long long term investor and will be the passive income for your retirement. At least I still think the same after 4 years holding this counter stock :-)

Use this as reference and do your own study.

People don't hold because of many reason:
1. They only here for short term. Hit and run
2. They don't know much about this counter. Listen to other then buy of course when make very little money then they go ;-)
3. A lot of fear element. Because they did not put effort to study and understand what the company does and who are the management.
4. Of course there are many more other reason.

No need to wait for the EPF to buy..... Need to do your analysis and invest earlier when you see some opportunity. I still believe this counter have long term potential and will continue to growth.

Just my gut feeling those who sell are those buy recently which I think they are hit and run type. So not too worry. The earlier they cash out the better IMHO. I tend to agree with some say majority of investor in this counter are buy and forget because they believe in long term. I still repeat the same old thing, if the management team still the same old gang then I'm very confidence they will do something to improve the company value, business and profit of course.

Last but not least I'm still excited and waiting for the dividend. Should be release very soon, hope this week. May be due to I have quite some lots and also at quite low average price as I keep invest in this counter whenever I have extra money.

@Kkevin2625 - if you have extra money and don't need that for medium term then suggest you to add on weakness (i.e when it steadily drop a little)

Wow not bad for today performance. Keep it up. Can't wait for the dividend.

Another thinking of high payouts. Think about it as one of the way they attract more people to gambling. Psychology the people that gambling in Magnum will win big. When more people do that they will earn back at the later stage. Well I don't have any insider news nor proof of that just the way I'm thinking of it.

Second with consistent dividend payout that is good enough for me. Just keep on collect the dividend every quarter or so.

Thus counter is for medium to long term. Result not expected hence share price will drop however they key is they still making money plus still give dividends. No miney ow to give dividends? Of course they need to improve the earning QoQ as well to convince The long term investor.
In summary, my two cents this still a worthy counter to consider unless the P&L in red :-)

In general a good counter. Anyone follow up on double listing in Singapore. What is pending for that now? I will search for this news and see what the latest. If really went through and happen then I expect a good movement to this counter overall.
