looking back........it is very ambitious, maybe too ambitious for a small little pipes company to take on IPP, Mall, and Tower A all at the same time and all non cash generating.

cash flows from other domestic operations such as SUKE, other domestic constructions, from the residential units never meet their targets and burdened by late delivery charges as well.

to the second question, its a mixture of every thing, I guess. Management blames it on Star who keeps revising the drafts for Tower A thus delaying their launch and missing the bull run on properties.

its not just the unbilled portion....the EPCC profits cannot be converted into cash but all can be converted in shares in the JV. This topic has been covered so many times, I assumed even non accountants can get it.

no lah, he does not work in IB....

a good challenge but not a good business.

yeah...one way to look at it is, after pay $ 50 million guarantee fee, the SPA is cancelled and Star no more claims except cost of land at $ 134 million.

surely, that is one defence option.

Star is doing very badly...only way to make money is by sueing.

what I most interested in is status of private placements.

look at the bright side.....those selling now still doing better than the CFO who sold at 70 , if he indeed sold as disclosed...............there is always a bright side.

how does all these developers guarantees work one anyway?

most guarantees, after the guarantor pays the guaranteed sum, the guarantor stand in the place of the recipient and stands to inherit all his rights.

drink drink with CFO, he never tell u Star can still sue for interest after collecting $ 50 million guarantee payments..................a bit odd to me.
