any deal has a chance to be terminated so if U a long term investor, it is best to trim as the price goes up and the balance for the KILL.. if the deal gets terminated, u still have the position to buy when it drops. this is simple risk management.

so harm trimming ur position a little if U had bought cheap. EPF also sold UMW before the GO was announced..

to answer why EPF selling.
If U had 1M shares bought at avg of below 2.00 wouldnt U sell at least 5% or 50K shares at 2.40 and reduce position. sell another 5% at 2.60 and so on. this is called trimming position.

for DV is not just taking into account of Groups Accumulated Losses. U have to look at the Companies Accumulated Losses which stands at 1.742B in Dec 2022... and 1.77B in Dec 2021. company will only reduce its losses if the subsidiaries pay DV to the Company. BA as a company has zero business, its profit is derived from DV from subsidiaries. the NTA at company level is only 44 sen for FY Dec 2022. pls dont look at Group accounts for DV payment.

for BA to pay DV they should wipe out their Accumulated Losses at Company Level.

Technically, BA looks really bad as it hit 50 sen today. Anyone can advise where the next technical support is.. or still maintain 50.5 sen as a good support base. Some tell me support 48 sen and resistance at 54 sen. 50.5 sen is the base now.
