Could be, also he transferred 5% of tagb to joo kim which I suppose he did to avoid crossing into MGO for tagb while he is accumulating TA enterprise. All he needs is another about 30M shares and he will have enough. Maybe can achieve in about 2 months at current pace.

Not much news on the damansara avenue development. Though I have to confess I am hoping tagb will launch the development beside klcc which could catapult this sleepy counter. Interestingly on another topic do you notice Tony is fast accumulating TA shares these last few days.

Just kidding as I believe the Trump organisation may promote SCION as the new flagship name for their hotels as the Trump name has become controversial , too much in the spotlight and likely to cause conflict of interest issues.

30 million shares change hands in first hour of trading. Never seen such high volume for this counter in almost 7 years since IPO. Hope for good times folks.

It can be quite confusing but from what I know.....
Tony owned the land, then he brought TAGB to jointly develop the property, then the hotel is sold to TAGB and I suppose the apartments servicing fee could be shared between tony and TAGB. So basically the construction and sale of all the properties in this tower, the profits could be shared by Tony and TAGB. Once tower is operational Hotel portion entirely owned by TAGB while the apartments they share the profits. I think so generally but exactly I don't know. By the way when I say Tony, I mean Holborn properties (vancouver based Tony and families private co.). So of course TAGB is not sole beneficiary of good sales at the tower.

In 2 weeks we get quarterly report. Keep fingers crossed. Myselves holding for 6 years.
2010 - 2016 !! This management don't like to rush, so have to be very patient. But I do have faith, they are capable of doing a good job. I prefer they go slow and steady , mun mun lai.

Quarterly report in about 2 weeks. In recent news releases, management gave info of rising revenues and profits. Lets see.

Brexit is not reversible. As for how long it will take to hit bottom, listen to experts who really know. Francis is looking for opportunities to invest more but he says over the next 2 to 3 years. So dont rush in too soon, as a crisis of this magnitude takes time to play out.

Hello everyone, too many analyst will say too many things. I am focusing on some comments by people with a good view only or can see the bigger picture. Alan greenspan and George Soros say it is just the beginning of a big problem, namely the breakup of Euro and also of the U.K.
Brexit is just the first domino, the rest are on the way. Tread with caution. Better safe than sorry.
A question here for everyone, if Pound keep falling and YTLPOWR profits also keep falling can the counter keep paying high dividend? Hmmmm?

Read that article by the edge. Looks like for REIT will need to wait some more. Does mention about raising funds but want to do it when hotels are doing better. Also ramping up property projects. Have to be patient.

I have been following this stock since 2010. Most comments don't touch on fundamentals of this company. Your research may pay off. I have a good feeling looking with the near completion of Trump tower and also good property sales in sydney, Australia. Property next to KLCC getting closer to launch. If for this new project, TAGB were to raise funds, they could do so by creating a REIT for their hotels and other properties. That will unlock its value and send stock price much higher.

I agree with that. I believe IMO that the next quarterly results could be eye popping. It could act as catalyst to send price up somewhat.

Will be nice to see it break through the 1.70+ barrier. If can cross that will be very good. This counter has not shown good price increase in a long time. Good defensive counter and good dividends. We need more. We need good capital gain. Lets go man.

Kcchongnz thanks for the great effort. A growing cash balance is something I always look at, management, debt levels (currency matters here),growing assets , NTA and so much more. I am still puzzled by some counters that are growing internally but on the external are not showing growth in share price. On the other hand the share price is at near historical low level. Could you kindly look at TA GLOBAL and tell why it is behaving so sickly. Thanks.

It is an attractive price, but maybe can still go lower. Watch the fed as an increase in interest rates could affect property counters. Real estate is in bubble territory in many countries.

Tenaga may have let go 4A, but they still have 3B and then also want to swallow !MDB?!?!
They are trying to act like a Anaconda and swallow (maybe forced by Gomen), if not careful may end up as the next 1MDB headache.

Does anyone know what happened to bidding for new ccgt power plant project 1MDB is offloading. It is a big one, also need lots of money to build. Looks like there are quite a few new power plants to be built in the next few years but power players gonna have a hard time to raise the necessary financing as Malaysia reputation gone down into a big sinkhole. So cash rich local companies have the best opportunity. But due to very high costs not easy.

Why privatize in just two years after listing?
Took some profit on friday. Got this lousy feeling about the red shirt rally coming up. I think they are up to no good. They want to send a message to yellow shirts that in future u guys come out expect lots of trouble from us. I am only guessing but if that is the plan, it could affect the stock market and currency and a lot more.

The best solution will be Petronas supplying gas and deducting payment from money it owes to YTL power. That way they don;t have to fork out lump sum. Win Win for both parties. For how long they have to do that to use up the 700 million credit would be the question.Power rates should also go variable so as to reflect on changes in price of gas and other fuels in use. End the subsidy system just as being used for petro prices at the pump.
Variable price means no future disputes between Petronas and power producers.

Holding and continue to hold. I am not selling, regardless of short term price movements.
Anyway free float of caring shares are very few. Price can go up fast and come down fast also.
Weak hearts cannot play this stock.

Maybe Anaktimur is right about M&A. Because VT also owns Cosway. If the two chains merge via share swap, they could be the largest pharmacy chain in Malaysia. That will be super duper for this stock.

Earnings also largely in foreign currency. So that means earn in foreign dollar, pay debt also in foreign dollar (Bhat, CDN, AUS,SGD,YUAN). I suppose should be o.k.
But still TA and TAGB both fall a lot. Maybe good time to buy for long term. Nibble Nibble lah.
Fall some more, Nibble Nibble some more lah. One day in the future, maybe couple of years time can look back and say I MADE A GOOD MOVE!! Good luck.

Maybe better profits coming or maybe he wants to take TA private. There must be something. But still investors don't seem to care and are selling out cheap.
