Yes julian1981 Buy TA!!! Already sold all Tagb and converted to TA last week. TA is
after all TAGB * 1.8 + stockbroking business + investment holdings + many other assets all can get for free. Tagb value in TA at current price of 38.5 sen is already about 38.5 * 1.8 = 69 sen
Now you see why converting makes sense.Decide for yourselves. I am not an expert, just sharing ideas.

As long as the world is at peace and the dow is steady, TA & Tagb gonna do well. Just be patient.

Haida123 Thanks for the support. I believe CaiShenYe is referring to TA being involved in investments which at times have caused losses. For that reason I believe the p/e is extremely low.

Investors do not realize every TA share is holding 1.8 Tagb shares, and now has made much more profits than Tagb due to stockbroking and investments coming in as additional income. Tagb value in TA is already worth about 72 sen, the rest of value also not showing in TA share price. Ta price if p/e is 10 should be about RM 2.00 and that is 3 x current share price.
I have converted my Tagb shares to TA as it like receiving bonus shares!!!

The quarterly report I wouldn't worry too much especially if compared to the last report which was very good. Prefer to look over the year or so. We will get a better picture. Stay calm and cool.

PenguinDad With REIT the benefit is TAGB will pay a lower tax, there will be more for distribution. Payout got to be higher than 90% of net profits to qualify for REIT status and a lower tax bracket.

TT (Tony Tiah) now starting to bite on 39 sen. RM1.00 is long ways to go. Hoping for short term target of 42 to 45 sen by August end.
If end of 2018 can achieve 70 - 80 sen will be great.

Trump hotel vancouver room rates gone up about 50% since opening. Maybe it is seasonal but it looks encouraging. I wouldn't worry as the city is largely populated by Asians. Most of them don't care about what is happening in the U.S. Cheers!!

Next catalyst could be TA3 & TA4 development beside klcc with target launch at end 2017 or early 2018. The AUD$100M/= to be set aside from sale of little bay could be reserved for the hotel in this development. Looking forward to the launch.

I can understand a share price trading at a big discount to it's NTA. But believe me if the earnings shoot up the share price won't be low for too long. Earnings will start to show it's effect, especially if the dividend goes up accordingly. I believe it is coming. Just have to wait a little.

I wonder if the profits will translate to higher share price. Carlsberg many years back was like that. Ding dong for many years but once their earnings became really good, it went from RM 3+ all the way to RM 15+. I believe TA ENT is gonna wake up soon. The p/e is only 3.6 !! Compare with TAGB p/e at 8.5 Both undervalued but TA is way too undervalued. It cannot stay like that for long.
Personally I have started to convert from TAGB to TA. Hoping it works out.

It will cost him much less to privatise TA Ent as the market cap is $1.04B compared to $1.89B for TAGB.
His and the family's total holding of TAGB will go up to about 60%. Which means another MGO will be triggered.
He can sell the stockbroking business and hand out cash and tagb shares to share holders and he won't need to make any offer to privatise. All shareholders will be handsomely rewarded in a very fair manner. There will be no need to make an offer and face grumpy shareholders in an EGM. Also the whole exercise can be over very quickly. Then can move on and do a current evaluation of TAGB hospitality assets and launch a REIT. He can sell down his stake to bring it below 33% and get a good amount of money at latest valuation prices. It is up to him lah.

Agreed. If it goes through. But buyer can walk away in which case TAGB will get to keep the deposit about (AUD$24M), About RM$80M less expenses etc So TAGB gets about 1.5 sen and TA 1 sen.
That's why market is being cautious. Excited but go up little bit for now.

The deal will take about 4 months to go through. There will be an EGM to get shareholder approval.
If can wait it is a good buy at current price. Now still cheap at 35 sen.

TAGB needs to get shareholder approval so there will be an EGM. The whole deal can take about 4 months to work out. TA owns 60.17% of TAGB. I hope there will be some movement, but lets see.

Good news, yes congrats to those who hung on to their shares. I believe it can cross 40 sen,
