@supersaiyan3, so I doubt AA share price will hit RM6 by ex-date (but of course I don't mind if it does ;-)). So I figure all of AA CWs will hv their exercise price and ratio adjusted accordingly. So, CW holders will benefit so to speak from the divvy.

Get use to AA's share price action. Just when you expect it to go up, it goes down. By now, most of us should understand the movement liao. Hence, no need to get too excited even when there is news.

Supersaiyan3, I believe all AA cw will escape "reduction in value" due to dividend. The criteria for most IB, or at least macq and cimb, is if the adjustment (divyy) is > 2% by ex-divvy date, then cw exercise price and ratio will be adjusted as well. Therefore even though cw holders don't get divvy but will not suffer due to reduction in value.

To suffer this so-called reduction in value then AA share price would need to hit RM6 by ex-divvy date. This 2% criteria is stated in IB cw prospectus. Last year AA divvy adjustment was < 2% hence no adjustment to cw exercise price and ratio. Share price was at 2.20 while divvy was 4 sen.

Yup, only 2 weeks consideration time instead of the earlier indicated 4-5 weeks. TF should have had a look at all the bids before putting together his presentation slides. So, I can only conclude that there is not much to discuss because only a few shortlisted bids are good enough.

Some monetisation points from TF's 2017 AIC presentation slides:

1. AAC's SPA & SSA to be signed on 7 April (next Friday). Est value USD900m-USD1.2b.
2. AA Expedia disposal in pipeline. Est value at RM354m (25% stake).
3. AACE IPO. Est value at RM355m (50% stake). Not sure if AA shareholders will be given priority to ballot for AACE shares.

@valuegrowth, the news article only say "a stake" and didn't mention the %. Furthermore this sentence, "Two of the people said a deal would value AirAsia's fully-owned unit, Asia Aviation Capital, at roughly $900 million.", didn't spell out clearly if AAC or just the stake is valued at $900. Whether it is the former or latter has got big difference in the price tag.
