Well, to evaluate an investment like this is rather straight forward. For example, you put 100k into a bank and has been receiving dividend along the way but all of a sudden, the auditor of the bank came out and said their audit found irregularities to the extent of resigning because the bank forces the auditor to quit by filing a suit. Now you have no way to be sure of your money with the bank because how would you know if the bank is still solvent? Question to answer us would you still keep your 100k or perhaps keep pumping in money because the bank said they will hire someone else to audit? Even EY don’t dare to audit but just accepted (with lots of conditions) to be the reviewer should their asks are complied.?
Would you put in more or run?

Involuntary resignation of its external auditor is a very negative development for SD.... company filed suit to disrupt auditor from carrying out its independent audit to ensure the accounting is robust and of integrity. If the deals are real, why the need to remove auditor by filing suit and all? run before brownie really hits the fan? i think so

The top management is running the company like a mom/pop shop... they think because they have some cable with some politicians they can quote this and that, drop names and bull doze their way and even to intimidate auditor to comply... they feels rules don't apply to them... that's the down fall... plus they are dragging their feet on the independent auditor and hired a lawyer implicated in court cases. The integrity and reputation is highly questionable... those who own the stock would have to seriously give it a thought and decide.... its becoming a little of a gamble to own the stock... remember what we see is just the surface, what actually happens and why it happens, can be very different.

SC should delist this questionable company immediately.

what matters is what the auditor can establish and verify... what you or I think is real has no bearing on the matter.... if you ask the jokers in SD, all is real all is good and everything is rosy... but if you ask KPMG, totally different story... everyone can be a chef.... not all their food can be eaten...

SD wants KPMG to employ alternative procedures to determine the disputed $4.5B.... alternative methods means standard or basic method of accounting is not able to quantify and neither can it verify and $$ involved. What does that tells you? :) think for a second... no joke ya... I'd prepare for limit down folks.

dragging its feet to appoint independent auditor is a big warning sign... with KPMG standing firm, i think this shit is deeper than many would think.... likely outcome is for SD to be delisted.... there is no way they can prepare the account in time... plus who would believe with discrepancies called out by KPMG still unresolved... EY might even reject the offer to audit it.... too much uncertainty and too much at stake reputation wise...

Given the -ve net operating cash and huge receivables... TP is 0. SELL and run.
