Based on my experience, if a stock gets re-rated, usually it will run up 100%.... of course from when it's basing.... which is now around 2.30 region.... but usually even before re-rating, stock will run up first, possibly rerating comes when they announce next quarter result... or released annual audited result... maybe there will be surprises...

Hi Steve, thanks for the report. If I understand correctly, you have a conservative target price of 3.6. If values in investment properties there's another 1.05 right? So it looks like 4.65 is quite likely.... and I think after rerating by analyst, then 4.65 is possible...

Do you think SIGN have the ability to run more than 3x like Teoseng? been averaging at 2.... but looks like target price is at 4 that will make it 2x... hopefully get rerating from CIMB then maybe can dream of 3x... just my opinion....

Calvin, have a few questions:- 1) Actually when we value a company, we also look at its retained earnings, but when I look at PMcorp annual report, it says retained loss of 1b... isn't it big? Although it does not have any impact but it can't reward shareholders until it can really show its earnings..., but its cash is building up nicely.. 2) Where can i view PMcorp shareholding of the various companies like Muiprop etc? I can see it's percentage... many thanks...

Actually why im so concerned, bcoz this has to do with asset allocation, undervalued stock takes long time to realise and u dont want to put all eggs in it only to be taken private. We as small investors lose the time.

Hi Calvin, really amazed at your analysis. Very detail and forward looking as well. I agree that BJcorp has the potential, but something still bothers me about it realising its full value. Have you got any chance to study its complex shareholding? Insider VT and VT related companies hold so many shares, i'm worried that before the stock moves to its full valuation, they will already privatise without letting shareholders like us to enjoy the ride up. Do you know if you have any idea how that scenario can or cannot happen? Or perhaps your sifu can advise? I remembered when I held glenealy plantations last time, although it has further value, but insider privatise them halfway....

re: Calvin, Actually nobody doubt your analysis or research or knowhow... just want to know if he wants to play the news b4 this quarter result (end of Sept) or the next quarter which is end of Dec. Why I say this is becoz if he chooses this quarter to play something, then the stock price shall head to 0.7 by Sept, else when S&P tops out in Sept/Oct, most stocks will go sleeping until nov back up again.... then he may choose to play only starting end of this year...

They just sold 10000 acres of land for 743 million cash. I dont know if the news is out the share will go down to 0.46 or more likely to gap up above 0.5? Bjfood and mazda to contribute more earnings, how can it not have more? They have done 3 times bottom at 0.47 since 2009, i dont know if this is still not forming bottom? If they want below 0.47 long ago can be done.

Let's be fair to VT. I know of earlier gen pple in the 80s when they were given chance to take the Toto franchise, i can say that they are very well to do... with cash flow from the franchise each day taking home 5 figure.... those that I know who ventured into his McD's franchise also doing well, taking more than 2 in good locations... his real business makes money, his stock if you want to punt, then need timing... it's building its bottom now... but as I mentioned earlier, long term, he may not share the wealth with you... meaning sharing dividend... but there will be one day he goreng the stock to RM1... there will be punters when no more stocks to play...

Thats why its important to see if pullback is significant or not. If yes, then maybe more qe... if no, and stock still go higher after small pullback, bull will end soon.

Re: Joeylee, not too sure about 2500. This Sept, watch out, see if correction happens > or less than 10%. if it's a small one like 10% or less new bull market high this Q4, then this bull will be over by Q4. If more than 10% say like 20%, then this bull in 2015 is likely to extend. Watch Europe.
