Pav...the hype on interest rate hike is overdone, intended by the big boys to move world wide market correction so as to collect cheap shares.

Japan is still stuttering, Europe mulling a QE, China is trying very hard to prevent a hard landing, and America, just beginning to show a gleam of hope, they are not going to flamed out the growth at this stage. The real problem is the share prices had run ahead of its fundamental, they need to pull the handbrake for the equity market, to rein in some control, before it pose unneccessary problems...In a nut shell...market will not crash...correction, may be...no crashes as the people fear.

lonkeyloh....the parameters are not fix, if the oil price dropped below the current figures, i believe the government would still subsidise the lower income group by lowering the parameeters. Just that the burden to the non subsidised will be very much lightened. If and ever if the oil price drop below...which i think it is very unlikely. Just my 2 sens
