think carefully, to remove the subsidy or to excercise this subsidy rationalization programme, wouldn't it be better if the government does it when the crude prices are low ? When the difference is less, the pain is lighter, the people will not revolt.

crawler, the government wants to know how much they can save from fuelsubs, so as to determine if petrol is subject to GST, so, does it not make sense that fuelsubs programme has to be carried out first at least for a few months prior to GST before that can be determined ?

the story is very clear here...GST on petrol is depending on how much the government can save on the fuel subsidy rationalisation programme

if government can save 8-10b from the programme, then petrol at pump will not subject to GST, if not, there will be charged 6% .

So, the implementation has to come very soon, if not, it is way too clear the donkey business going on behind the scene and the delay is so telling on the incompetencies of the government agencies in carrying out their studies and implementation of programmes that is so important to the wellfare of the nation.

Another thing to add is, the quarter report ended 30/6 has shown an increment of receivables by almost 20m, can this be due to a delay in government payment ? and will this be affecting its profitability as reported ? Any qualified accountant out there can please enlighten me on this ?

1. CA, is a call warrant, issued by a third party, very different from normal warrant which is issued by the company. Its a pure leverage (gambling ? ) tool

2. At expiry in Jan 2015, this particular call warrant will be cash settlement, it means you cannot excercise to get dsonic shares, a calculation will be made to either you get some money back or you get nothing at all....and mind you, so many call warrant had been issued, i think 99.99% get nothing in return

3. The excercise price is 1.86 and conversion ratio is 3:1, that means you need 3 call warrant and add RM1.86 to equate 1 share of dsonic. So, current CA is 26 sen, that means the cost of excercising it will be 3x0.26 + 1.86, which is 2.64....and yet the market share price of dsonic is only 1.8++...In another word, if the expiry is today, you burn the call warrant, and you will get nothing in return.
