The REAL short-sellers are the Propriety Day Traders. Don't pay brokerage and trade big. These guys are the ones responsible for providing "liquidity" or are supposed to anyway. I believe they work for the investment banks, but I could be wrong.

Lucky88, do u know which broker or remisier I can open the RSS account. arv18, I have FX account too, but I feel more comfortable trading SGX equity market where I can short sell stocks. and trading in SGX stock give me comfortable incomes

Which stock have u short lately. Complaint only no point.
If you really good in short selling go short US stock, currencies or commodity.
Trying to be hero to make Malaysian regulation look bad don't earn you a single cent.

If u are like selling short, try the futures market e.g. our local CPO futures.

If the market has no volatility, ii is easy to lose $$$.

The price range of our CPO futures average around 40 points. One point is RM25-00. With some skill, u only need to scrap some 7 points or so multipy by the number of contracts u buy.

Before u short stocks in Bursa, better to find out if those candidates have ample volatility.

Original intention to allow short sell is to cool down any goreng activity, some pariah like YTL-Land hardly active, how can they be qualified ? Someone please report to MACC.

Is RSS behind BN losing 2013 GE popular votes? GE 14 RSS causing BN losing GE? No wonder Chua Tee Yong(Chua Soi Lek son) said parliament to dissolve last day ie June 24th.

No wonder Pak Lah won by biggest majority ever in 2004 GE. RSS was banned then.

In Bursa Malaysia, short selling is regulated under Regulated Short Selling (RSS) and Securities Borrowing and Lending (SBL) guidelines, which introduced to the market on 3rd January 2007. Prior to 2006, short selling was banned for about 8 years.

Please clear and boycott all those counters which can short sell, that is the only way to protect our money.
