keeping cash is safe but not productive. find alternative option to invest. if keeping cash at the bank(FD )lock in for the past 6-7 yearsat say 3-4 % p.a. You have missed out the property boom which sky rocket 200% (app) from Year 2009 till now.

This is why generally anaysis do not really favour those conservative companies who keep lots of cash reserve at the bank and not investing it or paying back to their long suffering minority shareholders.

Keep cash???

You see how our KLCI performed after foreign funds having a massive exit in the past 2 years. What a pathetic performance by comparing year 2008 and 2015! FF was only able to bring down KLCI less than 100 points following disposal of share worth RM 19.5 billion in year 2015. Our KLCI is no longer at the mercy of FF. Local funds have done a good job and outplay FF.

Year end FF Inflow /(Outflow) KLCI index

2007 - 1447
2008 ( RM 12.96 billion) - 867
2009 ( RM 0.6 billion ) - 1264
2010 RM 15.9 billion - 1519
2011 RM 1.8 billion - 1531
2012 RM 13.7 billion - 1681
2013 RM 2.4 billion - 1867
2014 ( RM 6.888 billion) - 1761
2015 ( RM 19.48 billion )- 1693
2016 RM 0.64 billion - 1649 ( yesterday )
