actually i do not know whether hotel is sure die business but i saw a lot of hotels and motels in Penang and they are getting more and more. If put some attention and analysis, can see that it's a profitable business for longer term. Indeed latest trend is to rent out apartment like homestay or apartment stay through agency. For small investors who rent out their apartment or even motel owner, the ROI is high but for hotel, i have no idea.

Past history dun mean future will be the same. New shareholder and management take over the company, most important back up by Perak royal family. Balance sheet already clean. Pay 8sen to buy 300% upside. No much to loss.

Not much profit you can gain from hotel or resort...of course business still doing well but weak current economy related to oil and gas....
