Agreed, Bull bro, I personally saw them bought oldtown & heard their conversations last week at Jaya Grocery Uptown.
----------------------------- Fortune Bull Moneysifu! I fully agree with you! Oldtown white coffee is extremely popular with China tourists, which is why expanding in China so easy! Years ago, before Oldtown expand in China, China tourists packed white coffee to bring back! 06/05/2017 16:09
I know White Coffee is the top choice for most people, just didnt realise OldTown is so popular especially in HK and China. The main reason made me to buy this counter is when I aware that OldTown is heading into China market since last year. With good prospect & growth, good dividend and solid balance sheet, is worth to hold it for 3-5 years.
Those retailer play ekovest is putting their capital at high risk. Just play this oldtime is good enough and make you sleep better eventhough and when the share price is down ,you can still see customers going to oldtime shop all around in msia. Just like kfc and mcdonald. Safe and steady counter and sure making money counter
Long term this is a very good stock, but for short term seems not good. Their last qtr result "too good to be truth". No doubt their last qtr revenue has increased but not much, but PAT increased a lots, it because there is a huge foreign exchange gain and purchase of beverage save a lot, but will this coming 2-3 qtr remain? And recently raw material of old town bean has increased quite much, I don't really optimism for coming 2-3qtr. But no doubt, old town is a good stock to hold for long term.
Fair comment by Gamer Dans, I have commented in OldTown forum to cautiously optimistic about the future, next few quarter's results will decide where should the price go.
Consumer stock valuation is majorly supported by the consistent dividend payout & yield and market positions of its products.
For Nestle, Dutch Lady & F&N, PE25+ is acceptable during bull market even though the revenue & profits are expected to grow at rates of single digit, these are mainly due to the strong brands & wide choices of their products.
For Oldtown & Power Root, who are both selling single product, that's coffee, is expected to get lower valuation compared to these big guns.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
