calvintaneng -- I fully agree with you 2018 is the time to buy into property stock.
Why? Residential properties were not selling well for past 4 years with severe overhang. Developers are putting less house for sale for the moment, and price has been stagnant for quite a while and construction/land cost on the rise.
NOW: Look at the demography for Malaysia. Those with age 28 to 35 are supposed to be the buyers of the day, but they have deferred for the past 4 years. So, potential buyers now are those from 28 to 39 year old. How many are in this category? 7.7m !! With another 3m coming to age 28 in next 5 years. It will shift the supply/demand graph. When economy recover, property prices will again rocketing upwards. This will most probably happen in next 3 years.
KLSE is closed for a public holiday today. I wonder how many people will panic sell this morning in Malaysia?

USA stock is at new high almost every month. And they have been raising rates few times now but the stock still going up despite that. And their companies are reporting increasing profits on a year to year basis ..which justifies their price movement. USA economy is getting stronger due to Trump's economic move. Housing price in USA is also getting higher closing to pre 2008 period
Inflow on money is also closely related to the strengthening of the MYR whereby not only you earn on the rising of stock price but also on the exchange value.
