Hongkist a family of 4 stay in a 300 sf apartment, Malaysia hard core poor can afford 600 sf living space.
Not bad by comparison.
Malaysians are much better off than those earning hk$ 20k per month in Hongkong.

But the problem for Malaysians is they are too pampered.
29 yo want to buy 500k house, how can it be?
Simply day dreaming money falling from the sky?
How much mortgage he can afford?
How much is he earning?
Be realistic.
Work for 8 years before looking for a starter home.....

Yes.
Build more low cost housing.
40 years ago, low cost terrace was 8k.
Now must build more low cost flat at 42k.
Any low cost flat more than 42k is not affordable.
Instead of 800 sf, build 600 sf flat.
Instead of having 5 children, 2 will be nice and affordable.
