Dioxins and similar chemicals are a problem that will build up over time. Burning PVC release large amounts of HCL gas. Very corrosive to equipment. Also releases large amounts of chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Better to actually use pyrolysis to break down plastics into simpler hydrocarbons that can be refined and remade into new plastics.
