China is too old and wise to ever want such a thing. China will never want to be super power, because it knows such an ambition depletes you and would bring troubles upon yourself. Let's be good neighbors, good friends, try and help each other. That is Chinese approach.
It's a very different mentality from that of the West, which has a missionary tradition. The Americans, without embarrassment, call themselves an exceptional power with a manifest destiny, which is to spread its values to the whole world. That's how it sees itself. The Soviet Union had the same self-conception. China, I don't believe, will ever have such an instinct. It is certainly not in its history. It's certainly not in its interest.
It is true that the US is used to being dominant everywhere in the world. I don't think China wants to take over the US position as the world's big brother. I think China is happy for the US to remain big brother so long as its own interests are not badly affected. There will be some inevitable conflict between the US and China and this will go on for many years. But one day the US will realize that China's nature is different from the nature of the US. And because the natures are different, there is a greater possibility of coexistence and cooperation. China should persist, because this will decide war and peace in the world.
If only our Malaysia Ministers are half as good as Singapore Ministers, we would have acheived our vision 2020 10 year early.
Yeo: My view of democracy goes back to the essence of democracy, to the Greek origin of what democracy is - which is the people as master. Abraham Lincoln talked about government of the people, by the people, for the people. By this definition, China is a democracy.
China's philosophy about the moral basis of centralized governance goes back to Confucius and Laozi. How to govern is always at the center of Chinese philosophical thought. China will find its own way toward achieving the democratic idea.
The best democracy is the one which is for the people, of the people and by the people, according to its history and culture.
IF USA does not ring fenced China through Iraq, India, Singapore, Philippine, Japan and south Korea, China would not be so "military".
If USA's aircraft carrier fleet does not ply the South China Sea so very frequently, China would not be spending so much on military hardware...
what is wrong for one to develope her own defence mechanism when the enemy so wantonly instigate for a fight ?
The trade war is just a dumb move that will lead to inflation, the taxes imposed are paid by the local importers and the worse is the goods are still cheaper and there is no local manufacturer or supplier to replace. Only the ignorant are blowing the trumpet to make noise only.
In 2016, the last year the survey was conducted, 95.5 percent of respondents were either “relatively satisfied” or “highly satisfied” with Beijing. In contrast to these findings, Gallup reported in January of this year that their latest polling on U.S. citizen satisfaction with the American federal government revealed only 38 percent of respondents were satisfied with the federal government.
“We tend to forget that for many in China, and in their lived experience of the past four decades, each day was better than the next.” — Tony Saich, Daewoo Professor of International Affairs and director of the Ash Center
"Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets," the famous line put forward by President Xi Jinping in his earlier days as Communist Party chief of Zhejiang in 2005, has evolved into a guideline behind China's quest for a greener future through sustainable development.
Fifteen years on, the visions of Xi, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, about growing a rich trove of the "invaluable assets" have witnessed the positive change of landscape, as well as far-reaching harmonization of a huge economy and the bountiful nature.
China saw a significant improvement in its ecological environment amid anti-pollution efforts and a push for green development. Its efforts in promoting green ecology have earned global recognition.
This data is believable? You can see how China did poverty eradication by manipulating the data’s,just like when you only read tv3 and utusan probably you won’t look any problem in our country
Ash Center research team unveils findings from long-term public opinion survey What started as an exercise in building a set of teaching tools for an executive education class eventually transformed into the longest academic survey of Chinese public opinion conducted by a research institution outside of China.
Eradicating poverty is a truth in China. No doubt about that. A country that uses combat tactics to achieve what it wants, it will get what it wants, no doubt about that.
The recent frequent intrusion of Taiwan airspace by China's air muscles is also a truth. China's web army won't mention this as it is very men sia siu kan.
Recent China's web army is attacking Steve Bannon's female dog from Hong Kong. The truth is Steve Bannon doesn't represent USA.
You'll see China's web army is very hardworking. This is called combat tactic something very military.
Same things applied here, looked at Xin Jiang, Hong Kong they are not allowed to have own system to be run because they are minority, same things also can be applied here so minority can accept? Especially, the Ccp communism abandoned they own culture during cultural reformation times but claiming that they can represent whole world Chinese, for me it’s joke
In 2018, Xi upgraded himself to be a forever premiere.
So far he seems to be a good guy.
The national day of 2019 came with Xi displaying a lots of mass massacre weapons in the parade. Hope he doesn't mean what he was displaying to the world.
China has gratitude of thanks to Mr.Deng. If not for Mr. Deng China will be a failed state.
Following Mao's death in September 1976, Deng make his third political comeback and in December 1978 at the 3rd Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee. Having inherited a country beset with extreme poverty, deep social conflict, disenchantment with Communism and institutional disorder resulting from the chaotic political movements of the Mao era, Deng started the "Boluan Fanzheng" ("拨乱反正") program, reversing most of the Cultural Revolution policies, which brought the country back to order by the early 1980s. From 1977 to early 1979, he resumed the National College Entrance Examination program that had been interrupted by the Cultural Revolution for ten years, initiated the historic Reform and Opening-up of China ("改革开放"), designated special economic zones.
remember the red guards of cr? they are today Xi generation..... great generation..... maybe Mao is correct, some years spend in poor regions is good for character
china dream.... to follow the path of Singapore, both for Chinese people, to prosperity but of course still depended on a favorable external environment
I support neither side. I support Malaysia only. As a Chinese born locally, I owe to the land that nourishes me although our kind were treated unfairly (we cannot blame the soil for this).
Now china already have democratic system thru CCP election and socialism thru available communism system and now capitalism thru china promoted liberal business & economic policies and Public Order thru stern enforcement of Law & Order, don u think this approach is a very successful govt system leh ?
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
